We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Wavy Films a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Wavy , thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
I had to tell myself mentally everyday that I love what I do and it’s not just a hobby for me. I had to show not just myself but everyone around me that what I do is a passion.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My art is Photography and videography. I love movies the art behind what goes into making a movie just amazes me. I see myself having my own movies in theaters. I think what makes what I do special and different from others that also do what i do, Is the time and creativity that i put into it.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I believe learning going out of my comfort zone and not second guessing myself were the areas that made a big impact in my work. The best advice I could give away who is just starting out is to never be afraid to ask questions, and to always have confidence in what you do if you really love it.

I have a list of many creators I would love to work with on projects. My biggest influence is Cole Benet ceo of Lyrical Lemonade. It would be a complete honor to work along side someone as big as him in the Videographer world.
