Meet Wendy O

We were lucky to catch up with Wendy O recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Wendy, so happy to have you on the platform and I think our readers are in for a treat because you’ve got such an interesting story and so much insight and wisdom. So, let’s start with a topic that is relevant to everyone, regardless of industry etc. What do you do for self-care and how has it impacted you?
I box at The Self Care Lab, do Yoga and exercise daily. I believe taking care of yourself is extremely important, not just exercise, but also downtime and doing things that make you feel good about yourself and make you happy help boost overall effectiveness in all you do. If you work too hard and have no energy left to give to yourself then you will burn out fast, but putting some energy into things you enjoy, things that are good for your body and spirit, will allow you to do more in the long run, to be inspired, to grow, to be more effective in all you put your mind to.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Wendy O, a Los Angeles-based Entrepreneur and Crypto Analyst, is the esteemed host and founder of The O Show, the world’s premier female-led crypto YouTube program. Her show is renowned for its commitment to simplifying complex technical information for a global audience. Wendy O boasts an impressive portfolio of publications in top-tier media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, NBC News, Forbes, Fox Business, CNBC, Time, Bloomberg, and others. Additionally, she recently served as a judge on the groundbreaking web 3 television series, “Killer Whales,” marking a pioneering step in the realm of digital entertainment.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I think three qualities that were most impactful in my journey were resilience, thick skin, and the ability to stay focused and keep my eye on the price-to not let the distractions keep me from my goals.

The advice I have for folks who are early in their journey is to not let fears, whether their own or the fears of others, deter them from doing what they want to do. Do what makes you happy. Live your life for you, not for others.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, usually, if I can, I go box or do yoga. These things help me get my mind back in the calm state, but sometimes I have to just keep rolling with it, so I take a minute to do some deep breathing, then I jump right back in and get things done, then go box it out. Most importantly, know yourself and know your limits. Then break them!
