Hi WHYTRI, appreciate you sitting with us today. Maybe we can start with a topic that we care deeply about because it’s something we’ve found really sets folks apart and can make all the difference in whether someone reaches their goals. Self discipline seems to have an outsized impact on how someone’s life plays out and so we’d love to hear about how you developed yours?

My self-discipline is fueled by an unwavering drive to excel as an entertainer and to create opportunities that uplift and transform my family’s future. I’m deeply committed to a philosophy of growth—whether in my career or personal life—motivating me to refine my skills and elevate myself daily. This discipline is rooted in my desire not only to reach my ultimate goal of impacting lives through my art but also to demonstrate its inherent value and purpose. I am determined to prove that my work deserves a place in the world, as it brings positive change and inspiration to others.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

As WHYTRI I am to be a revolutionary artist dedicated to pushing boundaries in music, culture, and film. My work fuses genres and emotions, creating a unique sound and experience that resonates deeply across communities and backgrounds. With each release, I aim to inspire and connect by sharing authentic experiences and powerful narratives, transforming every project into a new world for listeners to step into. What excites me most about my art is this blend of emotion and innovation, offering something genuinely fresh and impactful to the music Industry and others surrounded by it .

I’ve had the opportunity to expand my reach and vision through major collaborations, including my work with Epic Games and Disney, where my music was featured as lobby music for the Hades character in *Fortnite*, bridging music with gaming in an exciting way. In addition, I’ve stepped into acting, appearing in independent films like *Apple Cinema*, now streaming on Amazon, which allows me to further share my creativity and connect with audiences through new media.

My latest project, Lights Down Shawty featuring Chandler, launches on November 1st, accompanied by a music video that reflects my commitment to pushing boundaries and reaching new heights. Through my brand, I strive to prove that music and art are more than entertainment—they are powerful tools for change, inspiring others and setting new standards in the industry.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three qualities that define me as WHYTRI are:

1. Relentless Innovation: I’m always pushing creative boundaries, whether it’s blending genres in my music or exploring new art forms like acting. My work is all about crafting fresh, unique experiences that resonate with people and break away from the traditional.

2. Impact-Driven Vision: My mission goes beyond personal success; I’m driven to make a real difference in my community, inspire others, and elevate the Massachusetts Black Alternative music scene. Whether through my live events, cultural collaborations, or storytelling, I want my art to be a platform for change.

3. Discipline and Growth: My journey has been built on a foundation of self-discipline and a commitment to growth. I’m always working to refine my skills and elevate my brand, with a goal to create better opportunities for myself and my family. I’m dedicated to proving that my art has real worth and purpose.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The Alchemist was a life-changing read for me. The book’s messages about pursuing one’s “Personal Legend” resonated deeply, especially its emphasis on following dreams and staying resilient against obstacles. It reinforced my belief that every experience, challenge, and connection plays a role in shaping the journey toward our purpose. The idea that the universe aligns to help us when we’re committed to our path has driven me to stay focused and trust the process, no matter the setbacks. This perspective keeps me grounded and motivates me to push boundaries in my art, knowing each step has meaning.
