Meet Will Lenox

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Will Lenox. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Will below.

Will, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.

I have always absorbed creative energy from looking at the original sources of things I collect. Meaning – I pay attention to many details that a lot of people may not notice and I put my own unique spin on it. I get almost a charge from being creative, and I love to express it.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

This year, I am really trying to focus on putting together as many outfits with my extensive and growing wardrobe of vintage and nostalgic clothing. I take all of my own photos and do all of my own editing. This will be documented on my Instagram @famedazed and on TikTok @cruella.de.wil – I’ll also be sharing more from my extensive 90s/00s memorabilia collection and collection of hundreds of thousands of promotional, and behind the scenes photos. Another project I’m very ‘passionate’ about is the soap opera Passions, which ran from 1999-2008. Passions is something very special to me, and I have amassed a following on TikTok @famedazed of almost 43,000 followers where I post clips. The clips are mainly of Tabitha and Timmy. Tabitha is a 300+ year old witch, and Timmy is a doll she created and brought to life. They are just two of the colorful characters in the fictional New England town where nothing is as it seems. Passions is not available to stream anywhere, despite many people requesting it. I have been working on preserving Passions, by creating a facebook called ‘It’s Martimmy Time’. A Martimmy is the signature drink of Tabitha and Timmy. They typically will celebrate with one after one of their many short lived victories. Growing every day, I have 1,200 members who tune in to see episodes that I post daily.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I would say my biggest skills are photo editing, collecting, and how to conduct growing social media in the specific niche that I have – particularly Passions. Collecting is difficult at times. I check eBay, and multiple other similar sites multiple times a day to scout for new items. Sometimes you have dry periods where you won’t find anything good for weeks, then you’ll find grail items back to back. It’s a lot of fun, but can be frustrating. Patience is key. In terms of growing a social presence for your specific brand, or the online persona you’d like to portray – I’d say never give up. You’ll have those days. Be resilient and move forward. Keep making content, keep doing your own thing even if you feel like no one is watching or cares. You will eventually find your people, and it will become an enjoyable experience.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I would love to collaborate with companies and small businesses. For example if they’re doing a specific line of apparel, I could pull multiple matching accessories from my own collection and do an entire photoshoot with their items. Say if a company created a Scooby Doo line, I could pull a Scooby Doo mug, backpack, pencil case, figure, you name it and build an entire photo set to post and promote their product. I can be reached at [email protected] or through @famedazed on Instagram or @cruella.de.wil on TikTok.
