Meet Will Lindsey

We recently connected with Will Lindsey and have shared our conversation below.

Will, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My work ethic comes from a place of never wanting to fail. Giving up is not a part of my mentality. My goal is to step further and higher with each day so I can accomplish everything that I set my mind to. As long as I do that, I know that I am on the right path.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am the co-founder of an indie studio called Surfin’ Squatch Studios. Where I mostly act and produce for our studio amongst many other things. We are currently about to begin filming for our next film called, “Secrets We Keep” set to release the end of this year or beginning of the next. This film will be an exciting, heart-pounding drama/suspense thriller with a wild twist sure to leave everyone on edge. This career path has taught me so much about the entertainment industry on the backend side when normally I am on the front end acting on screen. I still prefer acting, but it has opened up my mind and have made me better all around.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

A few qualities that were most impactful for me would be my love of research, my resilience, and my persistence. If I could give anyone any advice who may be beginning an acting career or want to try producing, it would be to always be willing to learn. Producing has a high learning curve as there are so many aspects to look into to make sure the production is an easy process. Whether it be Pre-Production, Production, or Post-Production, there is always something to learn and something that could put a wrench into the timeline. As far as acting, get into the mind of your character, learn the characters likes, dislikes, traits, how the react to certain situations and use all of that and more to stop into the mind of the character you are portraying.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

At the Surfin’ Squatch Studios we are always looking for people to work with. Those people are likeminded and just like us. They have such a love and passion for filmmaking and aim for perfection while also creating awesome on and off set memories to be remembered forever. Whether you are cast or crew, if you have a determination and an artistic mind to help expand and create incredible films we would ALWAYS be willing to work with people like that.
