Hi Willy, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?

We live in a world and a time where everyone has an opinion and it’s much easier to criticize than to praise. I believe both are needed because there is no light without dark. “Persist” is a strong word because negativity does not affect you unless you allow it to. My philosophy is to be a good person and good people will be good to you. That’s really all that is necessary to progress.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am focused on producing innovative ideas in music that crosses genres and fuses cultures to make a new sound that is unique and interesting to anyone who listens.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Personally, the most important things I learned from countless travels and experiences around musicians and music audiences around the world are create visibility, create quality content, and create your own opportunities. The world, maybe not your friends, family, city or even country, but THE REST OF THE WORLD is indeed ready to support and consume your talent and artistic endeavors.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I am always looking for collaborators! Singers, artists, musicians from different backgrounds and cultures are always welcome on my projects. My latest project blended Japanese and Latin music and became a great sensation around the world, so I would love to venture into other cultures and their musical talents.
