Meet Wynette Mcphee

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Wynette Mcphee a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Wynette, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

My creativity is constantly fueled by the unique love stories of my clients, the vibrant colors and patterns of my environment, and the myriad of life experiences that shape and inspire me. Ultimately, my clients serve as my guiding light- the North Star , always leading me in the direction of creating something truly special and meaningful.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

As a wedding guru, my focus is not just on planning events or immaculate designs but on telling love stories. The most exhilarating aspect of my work is the privilege of being a part of a couple’s journey, witnessing the creation of a new family legacy. For me, a wedding signifies more than just an extravagant ceremony – it marks the beginning of a lifetime spent together and the foundation of a new chapter in their legacy.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Throughout my journey, I have found that resilience, resourcefulness, and authenticity have been the cornerstone qualities that have truly made a difference in my career as Wedding Planner , Designer and Florist In a competitive industry, these traits have helped me stand out and thrive. My advice to others would be to embrace being a beginner with grace, prioritize education and research, and most importantly, enjoy the journey.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

I have been incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from a diverse range of mentors who have guided me along my path. Their wisdom and advice have been invaluable in helping me hone my skills , flush out my creativity and navigate the complexities of the industry. Seeking out mentorship has been a crucial aspect of my journey, providing me with the insight and knowledge needed to grow and succeed in my business.
