Meet Yaneck Wasiek

We recently connected with Yaneck Wasiek and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Yaneck with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I was blessed to be raised by my parents who above anything value honesty in anything they do.

That honesty is what drives my ethic in my professional live. It’s not even what’s legal or not. It is rather what I will feel good about.

That’s why our advertising and all communication is very clear and transparent.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
We are professional portrait photographers. In a nutshell we make people photogenic and make them feel good in the process.

We have few brands that focus on different genres of photography.

WASIO photography – this is the brand where we focus on family and pet portraits

WASIO faces – this is our brand that focus on professional headshots and business portraits and event photography

OC Kid Studio – this is our new brand where we photograph kids having fun and awesome facial expressions

OC Portraits – our newest brand still in development where we focus on high end fine art portraits for women and men.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
It took me many years to realize I may not have the greatest artistic talent.

However, realizing it, made me work much harder and smarter than so many other “artistically given” photographers.

So, being humble and working hard are the top two qualities that helped us succeed in our business.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
We are always interested in photographing interesting people. The interesting part can be the image/look, the story, what they do or even something we didn’t about.

So if you think you are an interesting person you can contact us at www.wasiofaces.com/contact
