We were lucky to catch up with Yasmin Peralta recently and have shared our conversation below.
Yasmin , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I developed my confidence and self-esteem when I started trusting God and looking within myself.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a Dominican-American, single mother of two boys. Struggling to make ends meet, I began making and selling handmade jewelry as a hobby. That hobby turned into a passion as I began building meaningful relationships with my customers from vending at various networking engagements. From that point on, I made a promise to myself to step it up a notch. STACKEDDD Kreations is a handmade jewelry store dedicated to self-love. With charm bracelets, earrings, and necklaces, you’re sure to turn heads with our high-quality statement pieces! Keep shining from the inside out! I am hosting my first self-live event next year in Ft. Mitchell, AL on February 2, 2025!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three qualities or skills that were most impactful in my journey were: patience, building relationships with other like-minded individuals, and my faith in God. My advice to those early in their journey is to keep going even when it looks like you can’t go any farther. Never give up on your dreams. Know that if God gives you the vision, He’ll most certainly give you the provision to see it through!
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me was showing me what hard work and dedication looks like. My father was a retired Army vet who worked two jobs to take care of his family. I’ve incorporated that work ethic into my everyday life! From working a 9-5 in medical billing and coding and running a business, hard work and tenacity goes hand in hand. No matter what life throws my way, I just keep going!
