Meet yasmina ksikes

We recently connected with Yasmina Ksikes and have shared our conversation below.

Yasmina, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I feel that for me purpose came through play in my early childhood. My mother always encouraged all things I was into no matter how messy it got.
Cooking, sewing, dancing , drawing were my go to activities.
I find myself so grateful because i had the ability to continuously apply myself at things I loved in a very playful way. Purpose came from trust, surrender and complete openness to possibilities.
My purpose is to make myself and others feel loved, nurtured and joyful ! That remained clear and consistent for me for a very long time through different seasons of life.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a Moroccan nomad chef based in Los Angeles. I consider myself to be an ambassador to my own culture through the art of cooking, hosting and all of what comes around it.
There is something very beautiful in cooking and creating the food I love most while honoring places and seasons.
I chose to operate this way because I love working and creating food in different spaces around different energies no matter what the conditions are. Deserts, oceans and forests …
I am highly adaptable and the challenge is always present therefore my growth and expansion.
I love cooking with the people for the people.
The flexibility of making my own cooking schedule , taking care of my two children and enjoying all my other hobbies remains high on my life priorities.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Qualities I believe helped the most :

– To remain constantly thirsty to learn and acquire new skills and knowledge form people i come accross
– Remaining humble no matter what but also confident
– Discipline and committment to the vision .’

My advice is to find what ignites you in passion the most, (like that feeling you get when you fall in love) and practice the art of knowing how to turn yourself on, feel it , visualise and apply yourself . Remain patient and focused on your mission no matter what.
Keep your self in shape is highly important, the soul vessel needs to remain solid .

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I would love to collaborate with film makers and visionaries . I have a desire to film a series about my love and food journey
How to bring this reality to the world and continue sharing the way i do.
