Meet Yessica Lizbeth

We recently connected with Yessica Lizbeth and have shared our conversation below.

Yessica, so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.

Honestly, I just keep on going with my life. I choose to ignore them to not feed their ego. They want a reaction out of me, and I don’t have time for that. I don’t let them bother me anymore, I’m not going to say it never has because I would be lying to you. At the beginning I didn’t understand how someone that has never met me could be feeling like that about me. That changed with time though, I learned that maybe it’s something that I’m doing right that irks them. So, I see them as fans in disguise now. I keep pushing and improving for the people that like what I do, they make me want to do more, they inspire me to do better. I’ll let the universe decide about the rest. Life is too precious to be focusing on the haters and nay sayers.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My name is Yessica and I live in Chula Vista. I’m the creator of Everything for your party (San Diego County) you can find me on Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Threads, and now Nextdoor. I created them to help San Diegans find all their party needs, from tables and chairs to bartenders and musicians. It is meant for all types of events too as well as holidays. We are a fun little party community.

Here is a little bit about me, I am a wife and a stay-at-home mom. I have four kids, two teens and two little ones. Lots of people think I’m a vendor too, but that is not the case. I stopped working about 8 years ago when my now teen daughter was getting bullied at school, I then chose to leave work and volunteered at her school to keep an eye on her. I was born in Tijuana Mexico and have lived within the San Diego County all my life, from San Ysidro to San Diego, Paradise Hills and now Chula Vista.

I enjoy a great cup of coffee and helping others whenever is possible. On my free time is when I manage all social media. It is actually quite fun and interesting, but a bit time consuming to be honest. I’ve been doing this for two years already. I started it all with the Facebook group and I never imagined it would get this far nor that I would be doing interviews like these. Every day is a blessing, I meet new members, vendors and more opportunities arise.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I believe that being stubborn, hardheaded and patient helped me when it came to creating all of this. At the beginning it wasn’t an easy process. It was lots of trial and error. People not accepting my invitations to join, or just not believing in my vision. I also had the dark side of it, people trying to make me give it all up, starting rumors, threats, you name it, it has happened. Pretty crazy to think stuff like this can arise from just having an idea and trying to make it come true. You definitely need a thick skin if you are going to dive in the creator world.

My advice to anyone interested in doing something like this is, believe in yourself and don’t stop until you get what you want. Push as far as it takes to reach your goals and be patient because good things take time. Nothing good is made out of thin air. Patience is key with social media; it takes time to build a community.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I am always opened to new things. Collaborating sounds like a great idea, that of course I’m willing to dable in. I’m willing to try something new, to get out of my comfort zone. If anyone with event related services is willing to collaborate in any way with me, they can reach me via email efypsdcounty@gmail.com. I’m all ears and opened to any ideas. I’m excited to see what is instore for our party community. Wish us luck guys.
