Meet Yifat Arbely

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Yifat Arbely. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Yifat, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I have never believed in Cinderella stories, I always knew that achieving results required hard work. I was always passionate about concrete and the more damaged and worn it was, the more I liked it. I wanted to change people’s perception of concrete and turn it from being seen only as a rough and gray material to something colorful, beautiful, and versatile that everyone could put in their homes in the form of a planter, sink, or bathtub.

Starting a business is not simple and even more so when you are a woman entering a male-dominated industry. For years I tried to fight against obstacles. My goal was to fulfill and succeed in my dream of making beautiful concrete pieces. I experienced many crises and failures, but I always knew that giving up was not an option and I persisted despite the difficulties I experienced.

People didn’t believe in my vision but that only fueled my fire. I had to keep reminding myself that “tomorrow is a new day with new opportunities”, and I didn’t let my trials and errors take control of me. The trying times were lessons in my journey and I firmly believe that they built my business’s success today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I mainly focus on creating original pieces and developing new products that will excite our customers, Taking part in several trade shows allows us to showcase our products and engage with potential customers. It is always an exciting and enjoyable experience to re-plan and design our booths, creating a spectacular display that reflects our brand and products. This process begins with a rough sketch and evolves through various stages, culminating in a visually stunning and functional exhibit.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Persistence is crucial for achieving desired results. It involves resistance to pressure, patience, and the determination to keep going despite challenges. The best advice is to persevere and keep pushing forward, as success may be closer than you think.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
In times of feeling overwhelmed, engaging in physical activity has been a consistent source of relief for me. Whether it’s light cardio, running, or any other form of movement, these activities help me ground myself and release any bad air/negative energy. Not only do they provide a mental break, but they also have the added benefit of often leading to problem-solving and idea generation.
