Meet Yoilan Arencibia

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Yoilan Arencibia. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Yoilan below.

Hi Yoilan, appreciate you sitting with us today. Maybe we can start with a topic that we care deeply about because it’s something we’ve found really sets folks apart and can make all the difference in whether someone reaches their goals. Self discipline seems to have an outsized impact on how someone’s life plays out and so we’d love to hear about how you developed yours?

My discipline comes from a desire to honor my purpose and show up as the best version of myself. That’s why I’m committed to becoming the person I know I can be.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am a professional singer which is currently promoting my Spanish Holiday song called “Viva La Navidad”. I am also a holistic practitioner and sound healer who specializes in creating transformative experiences through gong therapy and energy-based practices. My work is centered on helping people reconnect with themselves, find balance, and awaken parts of their inner world that often go quiet in the rush of everyday life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Self-awareness
Self-awareness was the foundation. Learning to observe my own emotions, patterns, and intuitive signals helped me understand who I was becoming and what needed to be released. This inner listening guided every decision—from how I show up for others to how I protect and elevate my own energy.

Advice:
Start with small daily check-ins. Ask yourself: How do I feel? What do I need? What is draining me or inspiring me today? Journaling, meditation, and grounding practices help strengthen the muscle of introspection. The more honest you are with yourself, the clearer your path becomes.

2. Discipline & Consistency
Transformation doesn’t come from big moments—it comes from small rituals repeated with intention. Discipline helped me stay committed even on days when motivation was low. It allowed me to build habits, refine my craft, and remain aligned with my purpose.

Advice:
You don’t need to be perfect—just consistent. Choose one practice and honor it daily, even if only for five minutes. Over time, commitment creates results, confidence, and momentum.

3. Empathy & Connection
My work is rooted in understanding people deeply—their stories, their pain, their dreams, their energy. Holding space with compassion is what transforms a session from something “nice” into something truly healing. Empathy taught me to listen beyond words and work from the heart.

Advice:
Be present with people. Practice listening without planning a response. Engage with curiosity instead of judgment. Empathy grows through real human connection, and it becomes one of the most powerful tools for anyone in a healing or creative path.

Final Message for Those at the Beginning of Their Journey

Trust the process and trust yourself. Growth isn’t linear; it’s cyclical, and every phase has purpose. Stay curious, stay grounded, and allow your evolution to unfold naturally. The journey becomes clearer as you walk it.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

In the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been learning to trust myself—and to trust the timing of my own journey. I’ve always been committed to evolving, but this year taught me how to release control, soften into the present, and allow things to unfold with more grace. Instead of forcing outcomes, I learned to align my actions with intention and let life meet me halfway.

This shift changed everything: my work, my relationships, my creativity, and the way I hold space for others. I became more grounded, more selective with my energy, and more confident in my voice. I stopped doubting my intuition and started honoring it as a guiding force.

Growth for me looked like clearer boundaries, deeper healing, and a stronger sense of purpose. It also looked like giving myself compassion in moments where the old me would have pushed, rushed, or ignored my own needs.

Overall, this year taught me that true expansion happens when you choose yourself—consistently, lovingly, and without apology.
