Meet Yolanda Hunter

We were lucky to catch up with Yolanda Hunter recently and have shared our conversation below.

Yolanda , first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Honestly, imposter syndrome is something I think every entrepreneur faces at some point and it doesn’t magically disappear overnight. For me, overcoming it started with accepting that feeling uncertain doesn’t mean you’re unqualified.

I reminded myself of the results I’ve gotten for my clients and the real impact I make. I leaned into my faith, my expertise, and my community. I stopped comparing my behind-the-scenes to someone else’s highlight reel.

Most importantly, I kept showing up even when I felt scared. Every time I helped a client gain clarity or save money, it built my confidence brick by brick.

My best advice: take action before you feel “ready.” Keep learning, keep serving, and trust that your gifts are needed because they are.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

At Y.Hunter Professional Services, I help entrepreneurs gain real financial clarity so they can unlock profit, protect their cash flow, and finally keep more of what they earn.

What makes my work special is seeing my clients go from overwhelmed to confident and knowing they’re building a business and legacy they can be proud of.

Right now, I’m excited to expand our Financial Clarity Coaching giving six- and seven-figure business owners the strategy and support they deserve.

Unlock profit. Gain clarity. Keep more money.
That’s what we do and we’re just getting started!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities have truly made the biggest impact on my journey with Y.Hunter Professional Services:

Resilience — Entrepreneurship comes with ups and downs, and learning how to keep going when things get tough has been key. My advice: accept that challenges are part of the process. Build a strong support system, take breaks when you need them, and remember your why.

Financial literacy — Understanding how money really moves through a business changed everything for me — and for my clients. If you’re just starting out, invest time in learning the basics: cash flow, profit margins, taxes. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Clarity really does equal confidence.

Relationship building — People do business with people they trust. Building genuine connections with clients, peers, and mentors has opened doors I couldn’t have imagined. My advice: show up with integrity, deliver what you promise, and treat people like partners, not transactions.

My biggest tip for anyone early in their journey? Stay curious, stay committed, and remember you don’t have to do it alone. Surround yourself with people and resources that help you grow and never stop investing in yourself.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes! I love partnering with coaches, service providers, and community leaders who help small business owners thrive. If you’re passionate about empowering entrepreneurs with more clarity and profit, let’s connect!
