Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Yomarie Llanos. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Yomarie , so great to have you on the platform and excited to have you share your wisdom with our community today. Communication skills often play a powerful role in our ability to be effective and so we’d love to hear about how you developed your communication skills.
I’ve always been drawn to the art of perception—how we present ourselves, how we’re understood, and how small details shape the way we’re seen. Growing up bilingual in Puerto Rico and later moving to New Jersey for high school made me hyperaware of how I expressed myself, ensuring I communicated clearly in both languages.
That awareness extended beyond just speaking; I fell in love with literature, creative writing, and storytelling. I was obsessed with creating characters, and refining narratives, and even dreamed of becoming an editor at a publishing house, where I could take something and make it the best version of itself. Now, in a way, that’s exactly what I do for my clients, helping them refine their brand identities so they show up as the best version of themselves.
This passion led me to pursue a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Public and Professional Writing, eventually launching my own brand styling agency, Luxe Social Studio. But one of the biggest turning points in my journey was discovering I was autistic well into my twenties. Suddenly, my fixation on perception, social patterns, and controlled communication made perfect sense.
I’ve always understood the need to present yourself differently in different spaces, like how we all have a “customer service” voice versus how we talk with friends. Branding works the same way. It’s not about being someone you’re not; it’s about showing up in a way that attracts the right people while staying true to who you are.
I see every person I interact with as a unique story waiting to be told, which is why I love helping creatives and business owners articulate their brand in a way that truly resonates. From small business owners to industry leaders, everyone has a story, but how you share it is what truly makes an impact.
That’s why I love what I do. A successful brand isn’t just aesthetically pleasing—it’s authentic, clear, and deeply connected to its audience. Many business owners struggle to put into words what makes them special. My job is to bridge that gap, refining their brand voice so their audience feels them in every interaction.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
We all know what a stylist does; picking the right pieces to make you feel confident, polished, and like your best self. I do the same thing but for creatives and business owners.
I’m Yomarie Llanos, a NJ-based brand stylist helping entrepreneurs build brands that truly connect with their ideal audience. Branding isn’t just about visuals; it’s an experience. You only have a few seconds to make an impression, and in that time, your brand should be clear and impactful and immediately tell people who you are.
Branding is about taking control of your narrative. Your business already has a story, but how you present it determines how people perceive you. When you have a clear brand strategy—knowing who you are, who you want to attract, and how to communicate that—you’re not just getting attention, you’re building trust.
How I Help My Clients:
When I work with business owners, they get to relax while I handle the heavy lifting. Through VIP content shoots, social media management, and custom branding assets, I help them show up confidently online. That way, when someone asks to see their pages, they’re not scrambling or cringing—they’re proud to share their brand.
“She has been able to very quickly understand my brand and create an elevated awareness that is consistently in alignment with who I am as an entrepreneur and as a creative. She is intuitive, insightful, and extremely talented. I have complete trust in her ability to manage the many facets of my social media platforms. She has always exceeded my expectations and continues to do so at every opportunity.” — Blanche Garcia | Interior Designer
Branding in 2025 is More Than Just Aesthetics
Not having a strong online presence today is like showing up to a job interview in shorts with a bad resume. Social media isn’t just about posting—it’s about knowing what to post, understanding your brand’s voice, and creating a presence that makes you memorable.
That’s why I created Luxe Social Studio, a branding studio designed to help entrepreneurs take control of their brand presence. My signature offers give business owners everything they need to confidently show up online, from colors, fonts, and messaging to content pillars and, most importantly, a detailed ideal client persona. You’ll walk away with a crystal-clear picture of who you’re speaking to and how to reach them effectively.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
When I look back at my journey, three things stand out as the most impactful:
✔ Embracing brand evolution
✔ Prioritizing self-improvement
✔ Doing the inner work to show up with confidence
1. Your Brand Should Evolve With You
A lot of entrepreneurs resist changing their brand, afraid that switching things up will confuse their audience. Your brand should evolve as you do. It’s a living, breathing thing, not a static logo and color palette.
Advice: Audit your brand regularly. Make sure it aligns with where you want to be, not just where you are. The way people connect with your brand happens in seconds, so every touchpoint needs to be intentional, clear, and impactful.
2. Constant Self-Improvement is Key
The best investment you can make? Yourself. The more you expand your knowledge, the more valuable and irreplaceable you become. It’s easy to pour all your energy into your business, clients, and personal life, but when was the last time you prioritized your own growth?
Advice: Be addicted to learning. Follow people in your industry, take courses, and stay curious. Markets shift, industries change and new opportunities pop up daily. If you’re not keeping up, you’re falling behind.
3. Inner Work & Self-Love = Showing Up With Confidence
If you don’t love your brand, how do you expect others to? The more you post, the easier it gets. Let’s be real, putting yourself out there isn’t easy. I know because I’ve been there. For a long time, I cared way too much about what people thought, which kept me from showing up fully as myself. We do this without realizing it. Society, expectations, self-doubt—it all chips away at us until we forget how to show up as ourselves.
Advice: The best way to feel confident in your brand is to start talking about it. Stop waiting for perfection. Show up, refine as you go, and trust that the right people will connect.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
Do you feel like your brand doesn’t reflect how good you actually are? Have you been relying on word-of-mouth but want a brand that speaks for itself?
If that sounds like you, that’s where I come in.
I work with clients based in New Jersey and remotely, helping them build cohesive, aesthetically aligned brands that don’t just look good but also feel authentic and connect with the right audience.
