Meet Yovanna Madhere, MSW

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Yovanna Madhere, MSW. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Yovanna, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My confidence and self-esteem came from having been a broken, lost, and confused young woman. Due to how I felt being raised, my early adulthood was full of emotional chaos, substance abuse, bad partners, and an overall feeling of unworthiness. But once I decided to release the pain, I began my journey. I worked on my mind, body, and spirit by working with a coach, trainers, a 12-step community, and a therapist. God also blessed me with some of the most wonderful friends and family who seriously supported me and my children in the most selfless of ways- we need community, experts, and professionals to help us build our confidence and self-esteem.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
As a personal development & evolution coach, I am dedicated to guiding high-achieving professional women go to their next level personally. I do this using a holistic approach: using my personal training experience, mental health education and training, and spiritual practices to help clients evolve body, mind, and soul. I’m also passionate about and have extensively researched parenting, relationship dynamics, and adverse childhood experiences to help understand my clients fully.
Lastly, I am a transformational speaker, I have had the pleasure of energizing, entertaining, and educating hundreds of audience members.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three things that have been most impactful in my journey are 1) knowing self- what I am here for and what I put boundaries around, 2) developing my body- eating well, moving more, resting often, 3) reading and education- applied knowledge is power and we can acquire knowledge from books- paper, Kindle, or audio. My book “The Many Gems in Your Crown: 7 Ways to Shine Brighter”, available on Amazon, was inspired by the many books I’ve read on my journey.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I love collaboration and always welcome the opportunity! I’m looking to collaborate with people who serve the community I do- women on a personal development journey. I’d also looking participate on platforms of podcasts, conferences, workshops, and events where the perspective of a spicy Afro-Latina brings the audience value.
