Meet Zaadé Tiff

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Zaadé Tiff a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Zaadé, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?

I don’t think people realize just how important self-care is. If you are struggling and not tending to yourself …the situation will only get worse. As an aesthetician seeing people on a daily basis…I can easily pick up so many different energies good or bad…and that can be draining. As long as I am charged up from within…it’s easier to manage day to day. At my age of 43 it’s shifted from a task to a privilege to be able to work out and eat right. I look forward to it…These are essential in my self care. That along with meditation and just learning to even speak better to myself. All of these things including mental health fuel you to do better on all levels in life. Healthy from the inside out is what I try to live by. Hence the importance of self-care!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’ve been in Aesthetics for about 10 years now and have through the years found my calling in skincare and getting people results. I am currently building my own business focusing on facials and am also at a wonderful wellness club started by the original owners of Whole Foods called Love.Life. It’s a one stop shop club offering spa services…recovery amenities…personal training…pickleball courts…no seed oil cafe of tasty treats…and doctors on site! It’s amazing and I lobe being there because it coincides with my belief in the importance of self-care. It’s nice to feel a balance of the support from Love.life while maintaining and continuing to build my own business and independence. Balance in life is a wonderful feeling.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Dedication…Resilliance…Understanding. I’ve been through a lot over the years trying to figure out what’s going to ultimately be the right fit…and I’m still figuring it out! Through everything…you have to stay dedicated no matter how many fails…stay resilient…and understand that this is your journey. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Pace yourself and make sustained effort over time to achieve long-term goals. I believe it will all come together when and how it is supposed to .

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

My dad is an athlete and we can pretty much also call my mother one too since meeting my dad way back when as students at UCLA. They’ve been together since and are still going. They have always instilled how important it is to take care of yourself from the inside out and have handed me the tools to continue this through life. They still work out til this day and are prob in better shape than most people half their age. I appreciate them teaching me the importance of self care that I continue to practice everyday! Love them!
