Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Zachariah Rippey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Zachariah, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

God called me to start the I Like Birds Podcast when I was discovering Jesus and diving deep into the scriptures. I launched a podcast to help others grow in their faith while I was growing in mine. This led me down a 5 year journey of releasing new episodes, writing books, connecting with faith leaders, throwing live events, and reaching millions of people on our platforms.

This original purpose led me to another layer of my purpose, which is helping other creators, faith leaders, and business owners launch and grow their own podcast.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I record a weekly faith-based podcast called I Like Birds that gets the Good News about Jesus out to the world. We share vulnerable testimonies, inspiring stories, and uplifting content that resonates with a spiritually hungry audience. We have reached 30 million people, recorded over 220 episodes, and have helped leaders grow and monetize their own show. I launched my podcast coaching service to help people turn their mission into a message and it’s been so rewarding to see others thrive in this creative space.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

My communication skills allow me to help people where they are at.

I’m able to hear the pain points, struggles, and vision they have all while using my creativity, media knowledge, and podcast experience to get them closer to their goals.

My ability to connect with all walks of life allows me to be planted in various circles, which opens up opportunities to help people in all industries get their voice heard.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’d love to partner with people who know their WHY! This is so important in the podcast, YouTube, and content creation space. Believing in your purpose is essential for creating a long-term impact in the hearts and souls of people who tune into your show. Working with people with this mindset is so rewarding. Business owners, faith leaders, and entrepreneurs have a special place in my heart.
