Meet Zachary Farris

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Zachary Farris. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Zachary, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I really found it from listening more to these bands who resonated with me. I initially didn’t like metal music but the more I listened the more I began to appreciate it. Eventually I wanted to be part of it and here we are !

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am the vocalist of Keep Close, we’re a band based out of Salt Lake City Utah. We released our debut song in May and it’s been an absolutely insane roller coaster ride. I don’t think any of us expected it to go how it has and honestly I think we couldn’t have anticipated it!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I think initially it was just obsession, on all fronts. I think the more obsessed with a hobby or passion you become, the better you’re ultimately gonna get at it.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I’d say so! I think it comes down to people who have a strong work ethic, the same drive and passion we do, and an overall love for the craft!
