Meet Zulu Bob

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Zulu Bob a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Zulu , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I’d say from my family, friends and the random God sent people who have entered or just stopped by to advise me or give words of encouragement.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I work the 9-5 grind as a cook in order to feed the dream. One of the most exciting things for me are the people I’ve met and am meeting during this journey. Big up the bros General Huge and Singing Ray, my label mates and long time bros. Not only have I been able to collab with fellow reggae artist and producers but I’ve collaborated with hip hop artists both on the American and UK scene, Afro producers and artist special mention to my long time friend ZikyZen from Nigeria. Chinese Producer WhyBeatz from Beijing, Lord Shellington from Island Trap Records in Antigua and Barbuda and the big Boss Yoda Rizz from Global Bpm San Diego’s very own.
This year I have released a couple tracks most recent being “Hi-Hats & Bass” music Video coming soon but check out the vibes on your most popular music streaming platforms and should you get lost just google the I, Zulu Bob.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Patience, resolve, self belief and to always be open minded. Don’t be afraid of criticism, don’t be afraid to build or rebuild, keep the mental strong. Every year We chanting No retreat no surrender from January to December.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

Prayer and Undiluted Meditation is one of the greatest healers in my life’s journey. Taking the time to calm the mind to understand what it is you’ve been going through and looking for solutions to either solve or move on from the cause or root of the problem. Not saying it’s the solution for everyone just sharing from experience how these two have helped me immensely.
