We’re looking forward to introducing you to Michael Huh. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Michael, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I love competing and golf does that for me. I especially love playing in tournaments and competing against the field and the golf course. Golf is such a mental game and it really challenges you both phyiscally but more so mentally which I love. When I’m out there golfing and competing, I’m zoned in and hyper focused which brings me pure joy.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Michael Huh and I’m the Founder/CEO at Mobyle. Mobyle is a full stack digital agency focused on hyper growing companies with our Data as a Service Lead Generation. Lead generation is always a challenge and doing it right and making it effective takes a lot of things going right. We love solving those puzzles and finding the right strategies for each client.
Our Data as a Service is a complete game changer because we base everything off data first. Data is the foundation. We have a database that can find anyone searching for anything, B2B and B2C in real time with over 90% accuracy. We refresh the data every 24 hours and scan over 60 billion URL’s every time we do so, making sure our database is always as accurate as possible and up to date.
Once we find the high intent leads in our database for a client, we build out the complete outreach system that includes Ai emails, Ai voice, Ai text, hyper targeted ads, our exclusive LinkedIn outreach, and we build out the complete sales funnels for each campaign.
We custom build every campaign and continuously optimize them for maximum results.
I started Mobyle back in 2016 by only offering social media management and web designs, and to see how far we’ve come and how much we’ve grown is mind blowing.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
This has been a while now but I would say me as a basketball player served it’s purpose. I grew up obsessed with basketball. That is all I wanted to do, to be, and my whole identity was a basketball player. Growing up playing basketball taught me a great deal and gave me a lot of skillsets that I use to this day. Working hard, overcoming obstacles, team work, being coachable, dealing with nerves and stress, setting goals and being able to adapt quickly to changes. I never thought I would ever be ok with not playing anymore, not being known as a basketball player. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve kept the skillsets I’ve learned from basketball and I’ll always be forever grateful, but I no longer need to identify myself with basketball. I have no desire to play anymore, I’ve played enough and now my focus is on other things.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering and failing can teach you so much more than success ever can. I’ve failed more times than I can count. My very first business venture was a complete and utter failure. I launched an online business selling tennis ball serving machines and I had no clue about ecommerce or how it worked, but I was determined to learn and thought I could make it a huge success.
That failed miserably. Then I launched a startup for golfers, put my everything into this. Building it, putting together a great team, and I had my mind set that we would disrupt the golfing industry and build something successful.
That ultimately ended failing. It got to a point where I didn’t know how I was going to pay rent. But through all the failures, I learned some valuable lessons. First, I can’t do everything on my own and I needed to have faith in God, that somehow, someway, he would guide me and help me through anything. Second, I learned that it’s ok to ask for help. It’s ok not to be ok, it’s not ok to stay there. So I learned quickly to swallow my pride and ask for help. And third, suffering will teach you very quickly how badly you want something. If you don’t want it bad enough, any sign of suffering will make you quit. If you want it bad enough, nothing will stop you from getting back up and trying again and again.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I believe and know that God is real and that Jesus is my Saviour. How do I prove that? I can’t, there is no way to prove it and that’s what makes having faith so powerful.
Believing in something that can be easily proven is easy. If you believe water makes you wet, you can easily prove that by jumping into a body of water.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
Not traveling the world. I love to travel and explore and see new places, meet new people, and take in new cultures.
We live in this incredible world with so many wonderful things to see and experience. If you can, I recommend everyone travel and travel as much as you can. Even if it’s just a road trip somewhere. Just travel and expand your world.
