We recently had the chance to connect with Miles Matunya and have shared our conversation below.

Miles , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I’m a walking a very narrow path but I’m navigating it perfectly using my creative insticts, education, natural intelligence and my robust research skills. The public doesn’t seem to understand but they will understand in due course.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a Multidisciplinary creative who’s into spoken word, film, podcasting, vlogging, streaming and oratory. Miles Matunya Network is my YouTube and artistry brand that exists in the form of YouTube and Spotify profiles. I, as the owner of the brand I’m affiliated with ASCAP which is a performing rights organisation. My diversity as a creative is what defines my uniqueness and I’m not a trend chaser on top of that. Currently working on numerous classified projects, will update the public soon.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My maternal grandmother! She always said that she wants to see me on every screen that exists, haha.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Numerous times, there was a time I almost disabled all my social media accounts.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, 100%. But sometimes I express my views in a very subtle way.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
In my apartment, phone on flight mode, watching a sitcom.
