Nataline Ruth Cruz shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Nataline Ruth, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
Most people are struggling with a lack of self-worth. Many people do not even realize this and if they do, they rarely talk about it. I believe that at our core, self-worth has been broken from our first breath. Whether it told to us from our parents, school, society, religion and such, most people feel that they are not worthy of more than crumbs.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a practitioner of Ancestral Medicine, Sacred Teachings, and many other healing modalities. I am the owner of both “Oxlaju Ochoch Tz’ikin” — House Of 13 Eagles — School Of Maya Cosmology & Cosmic Investigation LLC., and Strawberry Moon Energetics, Ancestral Healing & Sacred Teachings, LLC., in Lakewood, Colorado.
I work in the area of spiritual and intuitive counseling, energy healing or what we call “ancestral medicine”. I take a wholistic approach to seeing the “whole Being” — mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. My work entails spiritual guidance, emotional tracking, listening to a person’s subconscious, reading body language, mapping patterns, and highlighting programs and then clearing everything from patterns, programs, false beliefs, curses, karmic contracts, and ancestral imprints. I also work in the area of helping people to raise their energetic frequencies, receive healings through psychic surgeries and interdimensional encounters, and also, guidance in areas of obtaining higher states of consciousness and upleveling one’s mindset and working with the imagination to create a better life and fulfill one’s potential.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Bonds get broken between people due to many things. Deceit, gossip, withholding information, manipulation, and so on but it all is connected to mistrust, and when the trust is broken it is usually due to jealousy and power.
Game Of Thrones is one of my favorite shows for this exact reason. It is such a good study on human behavior when it comes to power, loyalty, jealousy and so on. Bonds are broken when one person decides they want more power in the relationship (or in the world) and that craving for power is usually triggered by jealousy. One person believes they have less than the other, so they become jealous which usually leads to being disloyal which then breaks the bond between them.
For some reason, people do not believe they can have both… the relationship and power.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering turned a blister into a callous. So, it toughened me up. Suffering also softened me. So, I have more compassion for others. Suffering slowed me down, so I now understand patience. Suffering took me to my death. So, now I understand surrender. People are always trying to avoid suffering. But suffering is where all the knowledge lies. To suffer is to live. To live is to die. To die is to be reborn. To be reborn is to suffer. To suffer is to truly experience the human experience and to overcome suffering, is to experience pure exhilaration. I don’t want an easy life. I want a life full of EVERYTHING.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would say that the public version of me is 100% the real me. I am all that I show publicly but there is a smaller version of me that I don’t show publicly and not because it is hidden but because it is the behind-the-scenes version, the haven’t-had-her-coffee version, the haven’t-had-a-shower version. But I think everyone has a private self that no one sees. The one you express when you are home alone. I believe that once someone has truly integrated their shadow, they can only show the “real version” because there is nothing to hide. I feel strongly that being authentic is the road to healing and true freedom. This freedom comes when you drop the masks and perfectionism. I used to want to be perfect. Then I realized I was perfect. Now, I only have to move from that Divine place of perfectionism, and the rest is my messy human stuff. Now, I don’t care if you see the messy human stuff — even better because I won’t have a pedestal to fall from.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely. I do not like to wrestle with regret. And when I do not do my best, I regret it. I am not fed by praise. I work a lot behind the scenes and get zero praise for it and zero dollars for it. It is all invisible. Nobody sees most of what I do. People don’t usually see the preparation in all I do. They only see the show. However, I do not need the praise. I only care about the outcome. The problem is I always think I can do better. Now, don’t get confused. I do not need to BE better. I only feel I can do better. There is a desire, a ball of potential inside each of us. Mine is on fire. It is insatiable. So, I can do my best, but I will rarely celebrate. I will go back to the beginning and say next time I will do better. Praise is an added cherry on top. It is a little fuel for the fire to keep going. It is a reminder that all I do, even the invisible work, is appreciated. It always comes as a surprise and from someone unexpected but that is the beauty of what I do. How did that idea, that sentence, that statement end up in their mind and it change their life forever and I never even met them? That’s the energy of doing your best. Doing your best is a strong frequency so it can travel much farther with more potential than doing something half-assed or doing it for the wrong reason.
