Meet Abby Taoj ( T- ah – j )

We recently connected with Abby Taoj ( T- ah – j ) and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Abby, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Sometimes I question how do I remain so resilient. One of my favorite exercises is running long distance about 30 minutes to an hour straight and during the times that I wish to quick, I can hear a voice in and around me saying ”you have more in you” and this pushes me to keep going. I wonder if they are ancestors, the most high God, or a combination of many things I’ve encountered in life’s path that was place to stopped me but only made me stronger.

Being defeated is not an option especially when you take a look at your past and see how much you’ve overcame and this is what pushes me today. Always check the obstacle resume if you need motivation to keep going. There is always more to life than what you may be experiencing in the moment and you have to tell yourself this when you feel the pressure or what you may feel is a loss.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a business woman currently working on my hair brand which is called T.H.S. supplying consumers with beautiful luxury long lasting hair options to choose from.

I create music which is something I am extremely passionate about. I have a few music projects that are available on several platforms to listen to. I do acting as well.

My main mission in life is to give back so I will be putting together a non-profit organization to aid those without homes and food. I would like to own a food truck that drives around different parts of America and give those living on the streets an option to eat for free.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Having patience. Understanding that life will do its thing and as much as we feel we are in so much control, things will happen when it needs to.

I use to worry so much about the progress until I realized how much I was just stressing myself out.

Letting go and letting God is very important.

My favorite scripture is Isaiah 60:22
In the right time, the lord will make it happen.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
