We recently connected with Aishwarya Oli and have shared our conversation below.
Aishwarya, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
My optimism comes from my hard work, dedication and creativity. Also, there is a big role of moral values that have been infused in me since childhood.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Being an artist, it makes an obvious fact that I have a strong penchant for singing. Singing has been a passion since I was four or five years old as being said in my previous interviews as well. What has been a fun fact about singing is that, it is not limited to only one form but many forms, like assortments of different flavors.
Various styles, forms, genres whichever you can count to.
But the most important part I feel is- Improvisation. I mean, you can channel up to thousands of different variations and find your perfect tune or melody for your own music.
I find music as a career to be a perfect abode for me. When I am musically inclined, I am at peace. So, yes….
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three good qualities about me is being original, dedicated and creative. These are the best qualities I can suggest people who are new to music and specifically, singing.
The most important and primary thing to realize is being original. As a new comer in the field of Music, many of us start our journey by doing covers of different artists (whichever we may like) and practice their songs. We must learn to develop one’s own signature voice. Furthermore, being dedicated towards one’s own craft with constant practice and corrections and lastly, not being afraid to be out of the box and creative.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The quality of having “Faith” in me and my passion. This has been the most powerful effect on me. The fact that they have had strong trust in me and my singing, really pushes me to do even better, work harder, even harder when I feel worthless, lost, depressed sometimes. Life can be really really hard. It can make one feel that he or she is kind of not so important, or maybe worthless in this competitive world, which can leave one shattered, lose hope and belief in oneself. But, my parents are the one who never let the fire go out. They act like a pillar for me.
