Meet Alejandro Goat

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alejandro Goat. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alejandro below.

Hi Alejandro, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
I think it is something that can never be overcome, the impostor will always be there criticizing everything we do or create, and society is part of it. From there it depends on how strong our will is not to stop and continue creating.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Alejandro Goat is a Colombian photographer based in Brooklyn New York. I have always liked to portray what we cannot express, repressed emotions, pain, what human beings wear under the mask that we show to the world daily. I mix what we don’t know, what we think we know and the esoteric in all my photos. Everyone is different and im sure that everyone want to be heard

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I think ideas are shared knowledge. Knowing how to act and execute ideas in time is essential to create a career as an artist. As I said before, the impostor will always be there, behind our back sabotaging our way. Don’t faint, fall and get up again. Life is wild and no one will be able to tame it.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
Of course, the challenge I’m fighting right now is against the future. We live in times where everything we need is in our hands. I said that ideas are shared knowledge and little by little technology and scientific advances will slow us down and make us useless to think and solve problems on our own.
