Hi Alex , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Truthfully, my confidence has always been at a high level since I could remember. My mother always instilled in me to never let what anyone else thinks of you, make you feel worse about yourself. How I move as an adult now is applying those same teaching as a child, no matter what anyone thinks I’m going to get done what I believe needs to get done to the best of my ability. I know I can be great and do anything I put my mind to because I know who I am and I know what God wants from me.

We are Cruz Control Radio, based out of Nashville, TN providing high quality & engaging content to viewers of ALL cultures and genres. At Cruz Control Radio we pride ourselves on quality and great conversation on all of our podcasts which will include our InTuned Interviews segment, where we interview music artists and businesses alike, also providing our visual segments for artists like “Control The Ville” & “Chop It Up Freestyle” to showcase performances and lyrical talents. We also present 4 Argument’s Sake; a funny, controversial podcast delivering informative information on what’s to know in the world with heated, comical debates. With our Morning Show “In Tha Cut” we provide every Monday morning to start off the week with positive conversation and some gems to think about through your busy work week. Our main objective is to provide a comfortable space for our viewers and listeners to be able to consume and consume relatable and informative content while have a good time doing so with laughter and understanding.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I would say when you are ready to invest into your business, invest in the top of the line equipment so you don’t have to constantly keep reinvesting every 6 months. Obtain equipment that will be great quality and durable for 5 plus years.

I would also say to NEVER stop learning, do not get comfortable in the knowledge you already have because you will stay stagnant and become stale. Always continue to grow and be prolific.

Lastly I would say building a team is so vital in being an independent owner. Make enough motion with what you have and like minded people will attract themselves to you because they can understand the grind and hustle too. My advice is to not go out looking for a team, let your team come to you from them seeing the work you put in!

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?
What I would suggest is being more well rounded because if you are reading this and are at the beginning stages of your career you don’t actually know what your strengths are. When I first created cruz control I thought my strength was audio engineering, then I thought my strength was graphic design, now I’m in a space where I am realizing everything I learned and came across by investing in each of these things I am really good at brought me to a point where now I realize, God wanted me to learn all these tools and become great at it to use solely for Cruz Control Radio and build the brand up using all the skills I thought were my strengths. Now I understand my true strength is to provide a platform to help people build their brands and careers, Now I am able to invest my strongest efforts into what I love the most, uniting the people with entertainment and a positive message. I’m glad I’m able to be in the position today to keep watching this dream turn into reality.
