Meet Alexandria Roberts

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexandria Roberts. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alexandria, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
My confidence and self esteem came very naturally when I started modeling. Every time I am in front of the camera is a learning opportunity. I get to see what poses look good or bad, different facial expressions, and really take notes on what looks good on me. Every time I am able to pull these things off it is a motivator and confidence booster. Another thing that really helps my confidence and self esteem is going to the gym. Working out is a great way to challenge myself, and feel powerful for accomplishing different fitness goals.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I have been doing freelance modeling for three years now! The first time I was in front of the camera was actually when I was in middle school. My mom had a friend who needed help growing her photography business, so I volunteered to be in front of the camera. It took many years later to rediscover how much I loved it. I truly began my modeling journey in 2020, and have been dedicated to my growth as a model ever since. One of the most exciting things about modeling to me is my ability to be a chameleon. I am constantly being dressed up in different styles but feel confident in every single one of them. I find that this industry is full of art, and I love to be the muse.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge that really impacted my modeling journey is being flexible, open to creativity, and understanding professionalism. What I mean by being flexible is to be able to have bend in your life, like being able to schedule and reschedule at any time. With that, you have to be open to creativity. Typically in modeling that means dressing up in a style you don’t particularly like, but then pulling it off anyway. You have to be flexible in both your schedule, and the looks you are willing to wear. One of the most important areas of knowledge in this business, is understanding professionalism. As a model, your life is your brand. Therefore you need to understand how to speak for yourself and market yourself. My advice to anyone early in their journey is to learn from every person and opportunity as much as possible.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing my whole family has instilled in me is to follow my dreams with 110%. I am capable of accomplishing anything I set my mind to but I have to give it my all. I am very grateful for not only my parents, but the supportive friends and family I have around me. Pursuing my passion with support from others, makes it even more fulfilling than it already is.
