Meet ali krupnik

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ali Krupnik. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ali below.

Ali , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
A positive mindset! I strongly believe in the power of a positive mindset and don’t let negative talk flow through my mind. Easier said than done, I know. But as a planner, I always have a plan A, B, C and D so when hardship and challenges come, I go into solution mode and find there is always a path forward. Life is too short and even the hard parts are learning lessons and beautiful. Until you can see the gratitude within the hard parts, you’re not ready for all the good things that are to come.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Yes! In short, my company, MyWellCo makes corporate events healthier. We help planners, event agencies and forward-thinking companies easily infuse wellness into multi-day corporate and B2B events, to increase engagement, strengthen connections, and maximize ROI. We design and deliver cutting-edge, trend-driven wellness pop-ups so your guests can enjoy your event with more energy, focus and enthusiasm – and book future business with you!

We have four new signature packages that we bring to events: Our Reset & Recharge Wellness Lounge, Better-For-You Menu Curation, Wellness Coffees & Cocktails and Wellness Kits & Gifting.

The idea came from personal frustration after how tired and worn down I felt during business travel when I was expected to be my best. I spent hours packing my own protein bars, electrolyte powders, essential oils and supplements and had to bring extra baggage in preparation for meeting travel & events. AND would need 2 days off following to get back to baseline – so I needed to choose my travel wisely. The epiphany happened when I traveled all day for a B2B event and was entirely too tired, with a massive headache and brain fog, and wasn’t able to attend the welcome reception and missed key networking opportunities. SO, I decided to do something about it…

Your team can create an amazing event, but if attendees they’re tired when they get there – no matter how good it is, people will be disengaged and operating suboptimally.

I’ve planned and attended several hundred events and what do I remember most? How drained I was. Our bodies are not meant to be in fluorescent lighting, carbo-loading, and sitting in the same spot for countless hours. It depletes energy, kills creativity, and high-value opportunities are left on the table.

The current event model is all about excess, and planners currently aren’t addressing and designing events with the physical and emotional well-being of their attendees in mind.

There is room for disruption and innovation in the industry and I’m on a mission to help lead that!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Always follow through on the promises that you make to yourself. If you can’t maintain boundaries and prioritize yourself, why should you expect anyone else to? Invest in yourself, even the best performers have coaches.

2. The Zero to Dangerous peak performance training by Steven Kotler was one of the best programs that I’ve completed for myself and my business. It taught me how to get hyper focused, eliminate distraction, tap into flow state, and increase productivity by 500% – literally.

3. My health & wellness coaching certification provides the foundation of my work. There are a lot of people “influencing” in the wellness space that have zero background and training, and may be suggesting things that may actually be harmful to people without realizing. Being a master and certified in your field helps set you up for success and set you apart.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The One Thing book & coaching program. It taught me that everything doesn’t matter equally and by approaching life through the lens of “what is the one thing that I need to do today, that will make everything else easier or unnecessary?” helped me really get clear on where / when / how I should spend my time which was the catalyst of my growth.

It gave me permission to say no to opportunities that did not align with my path, and confidence that by doing so, it will allow time and energy to focus on the *right* things.
