Meet Alicia Sacayon

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alicia Sacayon . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alicia below.

Alicia , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
As a kid my parents teach and showed me that if you want something in life, you have to work hard and that everything is possible as long as you keep working hard for it. “Trustworthy and committed are two words I’d use to describe my work ethic.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m a makeup artist and hairstylist and I love what I do! I’ve always been passionate about makeup and hair and I have always dreamed of doing it! Not just to make money or being famous!! My mission and my passion for what I do goes beyond anything else!!
I want to make people scape from their everyday lives and feel free and gorgeous.
I don’t don’t make people pretty I enhance the beauty that is already there.
The most special part of what I do is that when I do makeup and hair and just see my clients reaction is the most rewarding thing ever!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
-Creativity How you visualize a certain makeup form and how you plan on turning that vision into reality is the test of your talent. And I love being creative.

-Originality
I love to see other makeup artists skills and looks, I get inspired by them ! But I just don’t want to copy a look done by other. I want to be unique and add my own touch and my own artistic skills to my makeups.

-Knowledgeable about makeup techniques and products.

The proper makeup procedure, which products are good for which skin type, the usage of every brush and how to make the most of them.

My advice to my fellow makeup artist that are just starting, is to keep dreaming, to work hard to achieve their goals and to stay humble.
Practice everyday , keep educating yourself and never give up!
I keep working hard, educating myself to always give the best of me and to get better and better.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Definitely my husband, he has been the most important person helping me overcome challenges and for supporting me to keep traveling to workshops to master my skills and to always learn something different! Because in the beauty industry you never stop learning.
