Meet Aliesha Mann

We were lucky to catch up with Aliesha Mann recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Aliesha, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I truly believe my purpose found me. As a faith-driven woman, God has always been at the forefront of my mind, guiding me even when I didn’t realize it. Looking back, I see how He was preparing me for this journey long before I took the leap to start my own business. Never in a million years did I think I’d leave a stable Nurse Practitioner role, with no prior business or marketing background or strategy to go all-in on creating a business that serves others in such a deeper, more profound way—but that’s exactly what I did.

The desire in my heart was placed there for a reason. With over 15 years of healthcare experience across inpatient and outpatient settings, I saw the glaring gaps in our current system. The “pill for every ill” model left me feeling unfulfilled, knowing I wasn’t truly helping people heal. I’ve always believed in the power of nutrition and the truth that Food is Medicine. That belief led me to research further into nutrition certifications, an area that wasn’t emphasized enough in my medical training. This eventually led me down the rabbit hole of integrative, functional, and holistic medicine—and that’s when the fire inside me was ignited.

I remember when COVID-19 turned the world upside down in 2020 and at that time, something stirred inside me, calling me to do more. Later that year, I ended up finding out I was pregnant after trying for 3 years without success and it hit me that my life was about to change-I knew in my heart that I wanted the freedom and flexibility to be at home with my child and to be the BEST mom. I was drained working for someone else and in a medical model that no longer served my values. God was calling me to wholeheartedly dive into holistic medicine and work for myself doing something I was highly passionate about. I couldn’t keep seeing patients for rushed 15-minute visits, handing out prescriptions without true connection or healing. Through the course of my career as a nurse and nurse practitioner, I had witnessed patients taking 20+ medications they didn’t even understand, and it broke my heart. The saddest part was that they didn’t even feel better on them!

Personal experiences became a huge component of my deep “why.” A very dear friend’s baby was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at just 4 months old and that was gut-wrenching. I lost both my in-laws too soon to chronic disease and cancer, and was faced with the fragility of life. And when I thought about the life I was about to bring into the world, I knew I needed to make a career shift—not just for my family, but for the countless women and children I felt called to serve.

In April 2022, I officially opened Zynda Integrative Health and Wellness, after becoming certified as an Integrative Health Practitioner. I later immersed myself in more certifications and continuing education in blood chemistry, pediatric health, functional medicine, and a huge focus in gut health. My practice serves women and children, but as my journey has unfolded, God has led me to focus primarily on women’s health—and what a beautiful path it has been.

I get to help women heal by getting to the root cause of their symptoms. No band-aids. No quick fixes. Just sustainable, transformative healing through powerful mindset shifts, nutrition, and lifestyle changes. To be honest, I am more than a holistic health practitioner, but essentially a life coach as well.

Society has convinced us that things like headaches, energy crashes, bloating, painful periods, or joint pain are “normal” or “common” or “just a part of aging.” Women have become so disconnected from their minds and bodies, but I’m here to change that. Some of those things actually used to be my normal and I used to be that “disconnected” woman, UNTIL I took a step back from the go-go-go, all the fad diet approaches, and neglecting sleep, and prioritized my own health using the same model I use with my 1 on 1 clients. I have been able to witness my own health transformation as well as witness so many women heal from years of health struggles without answers or guidance, using my proven framework.

I teach women to reconnect with themselves, to show up as their BEST selves, and to embrace this idea that I coined that “Healthy is a Lifestyle™.” It’s a simple yet profound truth: the choices we make daily impact who we see in the mirror—and we deserve to love the woman looking back.

A significant part of my mission is preconception care, something deeply personal to me. While growing my business, working part-time as an NP, and nursing my 18-month-old at the time, I experienced an unexpected pregnancy that ended in loss. It was a bittersweet moment—beautiful in its surprise, as on one end we didn’t have to “try” like we did with our daughter, but devastating when we discovered it was ectopic. Losing that pregnancy was a heartbreak I can’t fully put into words. It was through that heartbreak, I uncovered God’s calling in it all and recognized even more how important the preconception period is.

In my first pregnancy, I had learned so much—about my underactive thyroid, the long-term effects of birth control on a woman’s body, and how years of shift work and constant stress had taken a toll on me. When I found out I was pregnant the 2nd time, although I didn’t outwardly feel it, my body was still in a hyper stressed state juggling a baby, a new career path, and the decision to fully step away from my NP role. I needed more time to heal, and so I did! I recently turned 40, yet I refuse to see age as a barrier to creating life. A resilient body knows no timeline, and healing is always possible. My heart is open to whatever God has planned and if that doesn’t mean another child, I am blessed beyond measure with my soon-to-be 4 year old daughter.

We all deserve a world where infertility isn’t skyrocketing, where cancer isn’t affecting younger generations, and where chronic diseases aren’t accepted as “just a normal part of aging.” I believe and know we can do better, and I’m here to help. This is God’s purpose for me, and I find so much joy in walking alongside women as they transform their health, their families, and their futures.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am a mom and a wife with daily struggles just like any other woman, BUT the difference for me now is that I’ve healed my body and transformed my mind to be able to show up in a different way, no matter what circumstances arise. Circumstances don’t hold me back. I get to be more present, more connected, and more joyful. It’s easier for me to recognize when something is off in my body and to know exactly what my body needs at that moment. I want other women to know that they can FEEL this way too! It is 100% possible!

At Zynda Integrative Health and Wellness, my mission is to meet women where they are in whatever season of life, whether it is knee-deep in motherhood, juggling their career, or BOTH, so they can step into the healthiest, strongest, most joyful version of themselves without debilitating symptoms. In my practice I use prior health history, comprehensive bloodwork, and functional medicine stool testing (the GI-MAP) to uncover what is at the root of their health struggles-like low energy, bloating, brain fog, migraines, stubborn weight gain, PMS, period challenges, anxiety, or fertility struggles. Many of the women who come to me have been told their labs are “normal,” and feel dismissed by conventional medicine. I understand the frustration of feeling unheard, and that’s why I take a deeper, more personalized approach. By getting clear on the specific needs of each individual woman I get to serve, I’m able to create a tailored healing plan that is as unique as they are. Every woman is different, and every plan I design reflects that understanding.

My program RenewedHER: Your 6-Month Journey to Healing, Empowerment, & Resiliency was created to guide women through a transformative journey from the inside out. We are creating lasting change and that is true magic! While addressing the root causes of their health concerns with sustainable, holistic strategies I am also empowering them to make powerful mindset shifts, to be more attuned to their body and to co-create this experience with me. At Zynda Integrative Health and Wellness, everything I do is grounded in helping women heal in a way that honors their individuality, their unique needs, and their goals. This is about more than just treating symptoms—it’s about building a foundation for long-term wellness and watching women thrive!

I’ve got BIG things visioned out for 2025 that are already coming to fruition and I cannot wait to share more with my community! The BEST place to stay in the loop is to get on my email list!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I think the three most important qualities that describe me are my faith, my hard work ethic, and my ability to find joy in the process of entrepreneurship!

My faith in God’s plan is the foundation of everything I do. It’s what propels me forward, especially when faced with challenges. My faith allows me to see setbacks as opportunities for growth or redirection, trusting that every step serves a greater purpose. It is easier for me to eventually see the silver lining in all things.

When it comes to hard work, as a little girl I have always been this way and when I set my mind to something, I pursue it with my whole heart. Whether it was graduating from nurse practitioner school or building my business from the ground up, I approach every goal with focus, determination, and the drive to see it through. Hard work and perseverance have been cornerstones of my success.

Lastly, I believe that joy is non-negotiable in both life and work. If you can’t find joy in what you’re doing, it’s time to reevaluate. Building a business takes grit and resilience, but it should also bring fulfillment and happiness. I encourage anyone pursuing their dreams to love what they do deeply and to seek joy in the journey, no matter the obstacles. And allow yourself grace through it all!

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

The Bible. I have lived by these words “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me~ ” Philippians 4:13. I remember this was the only thing I wrote down on my scratch paper for my nurse practitioner boards. I could have data dumped anything, but I chose these words and this belief has been pivotal in my life and I share it with almost everyone I encounter! There is so much wisdom to be gained from scripture. I wholeheartedly believe that!
