Meet Amanda Davis

We were lucky to catch up with Amanda Davis recently and have shared our conversation below.

Amanda, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Gratitude Gifted, my business, started with grandma.

On a chilly Christmas Eve in Northern Arizona, Grandma opened her front door to find a holiday wreath sitting at her doorstep. The wreath was covered in beautiful pine foliage and bright poinsettia flowers, yet lacked a gift tag so she could know who sent it to her. Her curiosity got the best of her, so she called up her daughters, neighbors, and old friends in an attempt to locate the sender. Each conversation was filled with joy and energy, spreading the spirit of gratitude to every person she spoke with while she was reminded of how truly appreciated she was by those around her.

Grandma was so filled with gratitude that someone sent her something special because they were thinking of her- making her feel seen, loved, and appreciated. Her joyous spirit was contagious to the people she called and she carried the emotion of gratitude with her for many days after. The anonymous gift was so much more than a wreath; it was a connection through gratitude that multiplied again and again every time she saw the wreath or spoke to someone new about it.

What Grandma showed us is that the spirit of gratitude holds incredible power. Even further, there is power in anonymous gifting so gratitude can be experienced in its purest form, without claiming credit and merely to express deep appreciation to others. This emotion should not be reserved just for the holidays, and it is so important to spread the feeling of appreciation for one another no matter the time of year. We wanted to capture this feeling and share it with the world.

My purpose is exactly that – to share the power of gratitude and let people feel that they are loved, seen, and appreciated.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My business is called Gratitude Gifted, and we sell all gratitude-based products.

I know our world has brokenness and shadows and would never shy from this truth, but it also has beauty, goodness, compassion, and gratitude, which all starts within all of us. People are our my because I know we – together – are the key to spreading gratitude and goodness to create a better world.

The business was founded in Sedona, Arizona and sells gratitude bracelets that are hand stamped with the symbol of gratitude, a gratitude journal I wrote, and hand poured candles made here in Arizona.

We are expanding our journal line to two new colors by the end of the year and are also producing a conversation card game for families to encourage more connection!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Be consistent!!

This was the biggest thing for me – working on the business in some capacity every single day. There were so many days that felt like a slug and I was not seei ng progress, but now in hindsight I feel incredibly proud of where it has grown to.

Consistency in the most important, but I think staying focused and also balancing life with your career and side hustle is critical. Otherwise, burn out is inevitable and the business can never be what it was meant to become.

If you have a passion for something, chase it hard!

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I would LOVE to partner with local US based creators to create content around our products. I do a lot of gifted items and love seeing what creators create! In particular, I love connecting with anyone passionate about mental health and spreading positivity in their lifestyle.
