Meet Amanda Hawking

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amanda Hawking. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Amanda, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
I think social media has really helped frame my creativity and my ability to express myself. Fashion, travel and photography have been the forefront of my interest for most of my life and Instagram, especially allows me to post current inspiration, outfit of the day options, ( look for my 31 outfits in 31 day challenge x2) travel inspirations, restaurants recommendations and finally tying in my real estate career, showcasing Beautiful homes in LA my brokerage lists.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I was born in Australia, but soon had bigger aspirations to move to the USA. After travelling the world and seeing 26 countries in my mid 20s, ( now too including 44 states of America) I won the Green card lottery for America in 2016 and moved to New York. With a fashion background in Melbourne I moved to the big apple in the hopes of finding everything I desired. The following year Los Angeles was calling my name and i moved and started working in Beverly Hills at the famous Barneys, New York! Nearly , one year to the day after moving to LA I met my future fiancé at a Beverly Hills restaurant across the road from my work. We moved to Hollywood and are now engaged and planning a 2024 wedding. During the pandemic I got my Real Estate license and have been working in the industry for the last 2 1/2 years. Now licensed under LA Estate Rentals, where my broker is the number one short-term luxury leasing agent in Los Angeles. Having a fashion background and a love of photography and Real estate im eager to be a standout agent known in Beverly Hills!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Confidence- moving from a town of 1000 people to 2 of the biggest cities in America definitely required confidence. Confidence is a key to success.

Being open to new opportunities has definitely helped get to where I am today.

Trusting your instincts, and following your heart a great piece of advice I’d give anyone.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
I think the most impactful thing was for them to let Me be who I wanted to be. I’ve always had a very clear idea of what I’ve wanted in my life, and so far, most of the things that I’ve ever wanted have come true! I think allowing your child to live, their dreams is the best thing parent could do! I’m a big believer in manifesting and really imagining your future and strangely enough, this is happened more than a handful of times. Putting what you want out into the universe, is a deal closer.
