Amanda, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic is shaped by a combination of factors that have influenced my journey thus far. Firstly, as a lifelong athlete, I’ve imbibed a certain level of determination, discipline, and perseverance inherent in sports. The dedication required to excel in athletics has naturally translated into my approach towards work.

Additionally, becoming a mother at a young age as a teen mom instilled in me a profound sense of responsibility and drive to create a better future for my family. This early experience taught me the importance of hard work and resilience in overcoming challenges.

Furthermore, my professional growth within an insurance agency played a pivotal role in shaping my work ethic. Starting as a customer service representative and eventually transitioning into an insurance agent, I was exposed to an environment that highly valued ethics and accountability. The agency’s emphasis on integrity and responsibility deeply influenced my own principles and work standards.

Moreover, witnessing my parents’ unwavering commitment to excellence in their respective professions served as a constant source of inspiration. Their relentless pursuit of success instilled in me the importance of striving for the best in all endeavors.

In essence, my work ethic is a product of a diverse range of influences – from my athletic background and early motherhood to the professional environment I’ve been a part of and the exemplary role models in my life. These experiences have collectively shaped my values, drive, and approach towards work, instilling in me a strong sense of determination, responsibility, and integrity.

I’d be delighted to share more about Sidekick Nutrition & Fitness and what sets it apart. As the founder and coach, I’ve poured my passion for fitness and nutrition into creating a platform that offers personalized guidance and support for individuals striving for sustainable results.

At Sidekick Nutrition & Fitness, my focus is on empowering athletes of all kinds as well as women who may feel trapped in a cycle they can’t seem to break. Whether they’re seeking to enhance athletic performance or simply improve their overall well-being, I believe in the power of small, consistent steps towards achieving larger goals.

Drawing from my own experiences as a lifelong athlete, particularly in gymnastics for over a decade, I understand the importance of discipline, perseverance, and proper nutrition. Transitioning into bikini bodybuilding as an adult and a mother, I discovered firsthand the transformative effects of building muscle and adopting a balanced diet. This journey ignited a passion within me to share my knowledge and insights with others, irrespective of whether they’re aiming to compete or simply lead a healthier lifestyle.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities that have been immensely impactful are consistency, discipline, and personal responsibility. These attributes have been instrumental in shaping my path towards success and overcoming challenges along the way.

Firstly, consistency has been key in achieving progress and maintaining momentum towards my goals. Rather than relying solely on motivation, which can fluctuate, I’ve learned the importance of showing up consistently and putting in the work, even on days when I don’t feel particularly inspired. My advice to those early in their journey is to prioritize consistency over fleeting bursts of motivation. Establishing a routine and sticking to it, even when it feels challenging, can lead to significant long-term growth and success.

Secondly, discipline has played a crucial role in staying focused and committed to my objectives, especially when faced with distractions or setbacks. Developing self-discipline involves cultivating the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and stay accountable to oneself. For individuals starting out, I recommend setting clear goals and creating a structured plan of action. By practicing self-discipline consistently, one can build resilience and fortitude, enabling them to overcome obstacles and stay on track towards their aspirations.

Additionally, having an accountability partner can be immensely beneficial in staying accountable and motivated on the journey towards personal growth. Whether it’s a coach, mentor, or trusted friend, having someone to share progress with, receive feedback from, and hold you to your commitments can provide invaluable support and encouragement. My advice is to seek out someone who shares your vision and values, and establish regular check-ins to review progress and provide mutual support.

Lastly, recognizing and accepting personal responsibility is essential in effecting meaningful change and growth. While external factors may influence our circumstances, ultimately, we are responsible for our choices and actions. Embracing this mindset empowers individuals to take ownership of their journey and proactively seek solutions to challenges they encounter. My advice to those starting out is to cultivate a mindset of self-awareness and accountability, acknowledging that while they may not be responsible for why they struggle with certain things, they have the power to enact positive change in their lives.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am actively seeking collaborations with like-minded professionals in the wellness space. I am particularly interested in partnering with chiropractors, wellness professionals, proactive healthcare providers, and other trainers who share a vision for prioritizing preventative and optimal health.

For me, collaboration is about creating a network of individuals who understand the importance of proactive care and are committed to empowering individuals to take charge of their well-being. Whether it’s through joint workshops, seminars, or referral partnerships, I believe that by working together, we can amplify our impact and better serve our clients and communities.

Moreover, I am open to collaborating with gyms and other fitness facilities that align with my philosophy of promoting holistic health and wellness. By combining our expertise and resources, we can offer comprehensive solutions that address both physical fitness and nutritional needs, ultimately fostering a culture of wellness and vitality.
