Meet Amber Reynolds

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Amber Reynolds a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, so happy to have you on the platform and I think our readers are in for a treat because you’ve got such an interesting story and so much insight and wisdom. So, let’s start with a topic that is relevant to everyone, regardless of industry etc. What do you do for self-care and how has it impacted you?
With my business, I’m standing on my feet painting or walking around helping guest for a few hours at a time. So I decided to get a massage twice a month and it’s been a GREAT decision! Going to the Chiropractor to get adjusted and a massage has helped me with less back pain and headaches! When you are in pain, you aren’t really motivated to do anything, but taking this time for me every month has made a huge difference in my life and getting stuff done effectively.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I own a mobile sip and paint business called The Paint Factory, LLC! I teach a virtual art class to students in Savannah, Ga every other week and I’m attending a virtual 12 week business course right now. My overall goal is to have The Paint Factory in every city! I love painting and seeing the joy it brings others as they complete their masterpiece and spend time with their loved ones!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Ambition, Communication and Accountability were the 3 most impactful qualities that turned The Paint Factory from an idea to the successful BUSINESS it is today. These are the core values that I live by to insure I am providing a quality experience to my customers. The best advice I can give is to NEVER give up. Doesn’t matter how hard it gets! If it’s something you really want, you’ll keep working towards it! Slow motion, is better than no motion!

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, I take a break from everyone and everything. I will put my phone on DND and just RELAX. Even if it’s just laying down catching up on my favorite shows or taking a much needed nap! I also love to TRAVEL! So I might just book a trip and to get a change of scenery. If you ever feel overwhelmed, just stop whatever you are doing and breathe and remember why you started this journey! Take a 30 minute break and do something to put a smile on your face. I know it can be hard, but the all the hard work will be so worth it!
