Meet Andrea Celeste Gonzalez-Bravo

We were lucky to catch up with Andrea Celeste Gonzalez-Bravo recently and have shared our conversation below.

Andrea Celeste, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My hardworking parents! Both of my parents immigrated here to the U.S. from Mexico and have worked hard to persevere. My Dad went on to be the only one of his siblings to pursue higher education and is now a retired high school Spanish teacher. My Mom is an entrepreneur herself, running an event decorating business. Therefore, I look up to both of them and aspire to have a strong work ethic and remain dedicated to my own growth and success just like they have.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Siempre Chula Boutique is the jewelry business I dreamed of owning since I was a little girl. My greatest memories are dressing up for family parties and Sunday church service, putting on every bracelet I owned and carefully selecting my earrings to compliment my outfit. Accessorizing always gave me such confidence, and I want to replicate that beautiful feeling for anyone that shops from my small business. I believe that self love is a journey and so the name of my brand “Siempre Chula” represents a reminder to us all that even on days we don’t feel our best we are always chula, always beautiful and sometimes all we need is to throw on some gold hoops to remind us.

With this in mind, I just launched a “hot hoops summer” collection on my e-commerce website. As a Latina, gold jewelry and hoops specifically are an iconic jewelry piece and I wanted to share that with my customers.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
In my journey as a small business owner, I have learned that having passion, tenacity and an eagerness to learn is essential. Owning and running a small business is no easy task but when you have a vision and passion for what you are doing it is easier to have the tenacity to keep going to get through the challenges and trying times. As a small business owner we also play many roles which is why being adaptable and eager to learn is key.
