Meet Andréa Pace

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Andréa Pace. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Andréa , thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
There’s nothing quite like 3D rendering to keep my creative juices flowing. It’s like a canvas for my wild thoughts to come to life (minus the paintbrushes and canvases). Given my visual nature, molding my clients’ ideas into stunningly realistic renderings brings me immense satisfaction. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about being able to breathe life into an idea and make it a tangible reality, and for me, 3D rendering is the ultimate catalyst for unleashing my creativity.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My name is Andréa Pace. I’m an NCIDQ certified and a Registered Interior Designer here in Texas. I am the founder of Pace By Design, an online interior design studio offering virtual design services to clients throughout the U.S. We help take the guesswork out of design and decorating. I specialize in crafting high-quality 3D renderings so clients can actually see how everything comes together before making any purchases!

We’ve recently transitioned into providing virtual design assistant services for other designers, including 3D Rendering, HoneyBook Setup, as well as monthly design support that is heavily geared toward helping other design professionals within the industry get the reliable support they need so they never miss deadlines or have production gaps.

And then for our Homeowner/Renter consumer base, they are definitely in for a treat with our new Shop the Look experience that will be very launching soon! No more scrolling through endless home decor websites or struggling to find inspiration. It’s like having your own personal designer, showcasing all of our top-notch designs in one place with shoppable links to all products in our design, so you can say goodbye to boring interiors and hello to your dream home or apartment!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think the first two things that come to mind are technical skills (like drafting and rendering) and project management. But honestly, to me, if you want to know the secret to success. It’s not just about having technical skills or being a great project manager. It’s about becoming a sponge, soaking up every opportunity to learn something new, and exploring everything.

If you’re starting out on your journey, my advice is to kind of become a jack of all trades. Learn the backend administrative tasks, master the technical aspects of the business, and don’t just rely on your inherent abilities of “having an eye for design.” By experiencing everything, you can really hone in on your strengths and build a thriving business. Remember, it’s not just about specializing in one area but really expanding your knowledge of every facet of the business.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My parents were never the type to let me sit idle for a second. They signed me up for everything from karate to girl scouts – you name it, I probably tried it. And while it may have seemed like a bit of an overload at the time, it was actually the best thing they could have done for me. The constant exposure to new activities made me braver, more willing to take risks, and more adaptable. Now whenever life throws me a curveball, I’m ready to tackle it head-on, thanks to my parents’ “throw everything at the wall and see what sticks” mentality.
