My generosity is rooted in a deep belief that we are here to make a positive impact in the lives of others and in our communities. It’s a value instilled in me through years of dedicated volunteer and nonprofit board service like with Volunteer Mid-South, Let’s Innovate Through Education, and Southaven Young Professionals. This experience taught me the power of giving back and the profound effect it can have on those in need.
My faith as a Christian has played a significant role in shaping my sense of generosity. The teachings of Christ emphasize compassion, kindness, and helping those less fortunate. This spiritual foundation has been a guiding light, motivating me to use my skills and resources to contribute to the greater good.

I am Andrew Bartolotta, a digital media professional with over a decade of experience in bridging the gap between passion and purpose through technology. Currently serving as the Director of Digital Media for cityCURRENT, powered by Higginbotham, I orchestrate a wide range of events and media projects aimed at shaping the corporate activation landscape. What makes this role incredibly exciting and special is the opportunity to harness the transformative power of digital media to amplify social impact. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Authenticity: Authenticity has been a cornerstone of my journey. Being true to yourself and your values is not only empowering but also magnetizing to others. Authenticity breeds trust and fosters genuine connections. My advice is to take time to reflect on your values, passions, and what truly drives you. Embrace your uniqueness and let it shine through in your work and interactions. Authenticity is a skill that can be honed through self-awareness and a commitment to staying true to your principles.
Relationship-Building: Building strong relationships has opened numerous doors for me. In the digital age, genuine connections are invaluable. My advice is to invest time in nurturing relationships, both online and offline. Engage with peers in your industry, attend networking events, and seek out mentors who can provide guidance. Be a good listener and offer support to others whenever possible. Remember that relationships are built on trust, so always act with integrity and authenticity.
Digital Media Proficiency: In today’s digital landscape, proficiency in digital media is a critical skill. This includes understanding various platforms, trends, and the art of effective storytelling. My advice for those starting out is to stay curious and be open to learning. Experiment with different digital media tools and platforms. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Consider taking courses or attending workshops to enhance your skills. The digital world is dynamic, so adaptability and a continuous learning mindset are key.
