Meet Angela Fedrick-Lewis

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Angela Fedrick-Lewis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Angela, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My self-esteem and confidence developed once I realized that the only thing that can hold me back is me. I found that in my life, the more challenges I experienced, the more I realized that my happiness, my drive and my peace cannot be dependent on other people. I had to really look within and find my identity through my faith in Christ. When I began to embody the scripture, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made…” I began operating with the mindset that God has empowered me to do whatever needs to be done in my life. That mindset helps me to cut through fear and insecurity. It does not mean that fear is not absent, but I push through the fear in knowing I am equipped to succeed.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I enjoy serving through my gifts as a writer, artist, educator and author. It is important for me to work in the community and support others seeking to have a platform to advance positive message and educate as a tool for advancement and growth. My company Mojo Media Online LLC is a media platform that merges music, journalism and community outreach to promote physical, spiritual and professional wellness.

The company uses podcasts, interviews, online magazine and local events to inspire and educate our communities. The concept generates from understanding the power of media and how it can be used to serve the greater good, rather than be a tool that negatively impacts society.

With more and more people relying on social media and online content, my business provides content that is meaningful while offering services to promote other small businesses and entrepreneurs. It is the business embodiment of “each one, teach one.”

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three skills that was most important during my professional and personal journey were consistency, confidence and commitment. I would simplify these into the 3’c’s of success. It is important to stay consistent in whatever you put your mind to do. Everything does not happen overnight and it takes a consistent focus and investment to get results. Confidence is built when you continue to take risks and not worry about what others think. Even if you experience a failure, it is important to learn from it. Examine what works and what does not. Then, get up and try again with the wisdom you gained from the failure. Lastly, when you merge consistency and confidence, you maintain commitment to reaching your goals. The irony is that the support comes when others begin to see your commitment. People invest when they see the level of investment you placed towards your vison. It all starts with you.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Currently, Mojo Media Online LLC is looking for contributing writers and journalists experienced with interviewing community members doing great things.

For writers seeking a platform to express their insights on matters concerning local or global communities or health and wellness contributors, please send an email to [email protected]

I am also interested in collaborating with other content creators via podcasts or panel discussions on topics that align with promoting overall wellness and growth.
