Meet Ann Marie Howell

We were lucky to catch up with Ann Marie Howell recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ann Marie, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
My confidence and self-esteem have been nurtured by the unwavering support and guidance of my mother, who was my first and most influential teacher. Growing up my mother always told me never compare yourself to others, either you will become vain or bitter. From an early age, she instilled in me the importance of self-belief, resilience, and embracing my unique strengths. She first taught me to love myself and then love others in the same fashion. Through her encouragement and example, I learned to navigate challenges with courage and determination, understanding that setbacks are opportunities for growth. Her unconditional love and belief in my abilities provided a solid foundation upon which I could build my self-confidence. As I journeyed through life, her lessons echoed within me, empowering me to embrace my worth and pursue my aspirations with confidence and conviction.

I was raised to believe that I was fearfully and wonderfully made. That I could become whoever I wanted to be as long as I kept God first and remained true to myself. I would love to take the credit and say that I became this way on my own, but that would be impossible. Everything I know and do I learned somewhere or from someone along the way whether I was pushed or pulled I am grateful. I am blessed to be surrounded and supported by some of the most affirming women and men this side of heaven. My hope is that people would surround themselves with individuals that can celebrate their wins and also carry them through your losses. But most importantly, remind them of who they are when life tries to make them forget. I am and will always strive to be who God says I am and baby that’s enough. I AM ENOUGH!!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

First things first….. First giving honor to God who is the head of my life. It sounds like good old fashioned church colloquialism, but the reality is God is first and central focus of my life. Without His help, favor and direction I am not sure where my life would be. I love my family, friends and clients, they help make my life richer. Quality time is my primary love language, so as long as I get to do that, I am happy.

Now can I have a drum roll please, I saved the favorite part of my story to share with you for this moment. I am also a newlywed aka wife to the most amazing, supportive and loving husband; who I get to navigate this journey of life with.  Being married to the right partner has given me a new vantage point as to the places we can go together. We are moving faster and farther than I ever dreamed imaginable. I was always a wedding planner or bridesmaid but never a bride until recently, talk about trading places. Here’s the truth I married my love and best friend. Team Wife for Life.

Oh, how the tables were turned, it was my time to experience the journey that so many other couples experienced. The lessons were taught. The lessons were learned. A time was had.  And now the student who became the teacher went back through the cycle of learning again at the illustrious school of life. Here’s the good news I am better, smarter and wiser for it and so will my couples be because of it.  This pivotal life experience redirected my focus and passion on equipping couples to making it down the aisle seamlessly and happily.  Which is the perfect segue to being a SHE-O. I want to continue making strides to leaving those I encounter better than the way I met them.

Now to the fun stuff, here is a brief glimpse into what it is that I do.  I have the honor of being entrusted with the task of making someone’s home a sanctuary or orchestrating the arrival of a new baby or a wedding is an unparalleled privilege. It transcends the mere execution of tasks; it’s about being granted access to some of the most intimate and cherished moments in people’s lives. It’s about understanding the significance of these milestones and the profound impact they have on individuals and families. To play a role in creating a space where one feels safe, comforted, and truly at peace. It’s about recognizing the trust placed in me to craft environments and experiences that not only meet expectations but exceed them, leaving a lasting impression on those I have the privilege of serving. Ultimately, it’s about being part of the journey towards creating annjoyable moments that will be treasured for a lifetime.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back on my journey, I believe three qualities that were most impactful are resilience, adaptability, and a thirst for learning. Resilience allowed me to bounce back from setbacks and challenges, enabling me to persevere through difficult times and keep moving forward. Adaptability allowed me to navigate changing circumstances and embrace new opportunities, ensuring that I remained agile in the face of uncertainty. A thirst for learning fueled my growth and development, pushing me to constantly seek out new knowledge, skills, and perspectives.

For those early in their journey, my advice is to cultivate resilience by embracing failures as opportunities for growth, to foster adaptability by staying open to change and embracing challenges as learning experiences, and to nurture a thirst for learning by seeking out mentors, resources, and experiences that expand their knowledge and skills.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
