We were lucky to catch up with Anthony Cracha recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Honestly? My resiliency developed around 25 while I was working the pandemic as a nurse in the ICU. I worked alongside and learned from some of the most resilient mentors in those five years. I’ve seen some of the worst and learned a sense of empathy that I fear so many people will never develop without experiencing healthcare. It really changes your outlook on life, people, and politics. Life, death, the raw emotions of it all. Resiliency started there. I also have to give a good shout out to my therapist for working me through some of the worst panic attacks of my life, and that wasn’t just because of healthcare. That was just the icing on the cake that sent me over.
I had everything I needed growing up and the privilege to say so is a gratitude. I had a steady foundation who taught me both strength as well as emotion but there was something that needed to be adjusted. I had the tools, but I didn’t know how to use them. There remains such a huge stigma around mental health and I’ve always tried to advocate for it.. I see it as no different than physical education. To be equipped with the awareness of your emotions and day to day thought processes is a hoot!, and with the state of the world? I don’t think we can do wrong by holding accountability for ourselves. Aside from that, I’ve just had a better focus on my health overall. Physical, mental, financial. There’s so much in between that goes into this story between trauma, grief, and insecurity leading up to a resounding confidence that developed when I stopped caring so much about what others thought about me. That’s still a work in progress but you get the point.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am 28 years old, and currently a videographer and photographer in Philadelphia running a media company named Wanderlens. I initially got my RN license back in 2019, and felt a disconnect within myself post pandemic. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been able to take a break from nursing in summer 2024 while I build Wanderlens into its potential . I started this business in terms of doing what I love while getting more opportunity to see the world. I was filming my travel and day to day life on an iPhone with a more cinematic approach to things. A regular video could never capture the essence of my surroundings. So, I sought out a way to make It appear how I personally experienced it. I fell in love with the editing process and finding different approaches to tell the same story. Eventually, the work I created was posted and I started getting inquiries about work unrelated to travel. I started trialing different styles, battled past the anxieties of imposter syndrome, and started creating different pieces of work for a variety of niches and companies. Ive done weddings, engagements, model portraits, real estate, museums, concerts, you name it. I truly believe that diversity and range is what makes my style so unique. Im always looking to challenge myself on something new.
Wanderlens is more than just a media company. It’s a place to tell your story, a way to make your vision come to life through cinematic representation and story telling. Whether it’s telling your brands story, starting a podcast, selling homes and beyond, my goal is to blend creativity with empathy to curate pieces of work that spark emotion. I will always prioritize collaboration to make sure I am meeting my clients standard of needs while keeping goals in mind. Every client has a different goal. Some are looking to drive customer engagement, some want to tell their story. Wanderlens works with each client on an individual basis to ensure we are able to achieve that. I’ve loved the diversity of people I’ve been able to meet and work with, and the places I’ve been able to travel for work so far.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I believe having a sense of resiliency, discipline, and emotional intelligence are the trifecta to what has shaped who I am and what I stand for. The ability to struggle, accept defeat, and grow while still maintaining an optimistic perspective is what keeps my internal sense of focus. Life is so short, and I learned that watching the complexities that exist in within the walls of an intensive care unit. My mentors taught me skill and grit, but my patients taught me about life. Witnessing the fragility and strength of someone fighting a critical illness or trauma is remarkable. Im honored to say I’ve facilitated positive patient outcomes and had the privilege to emotionally support those who couldn’t fight any longer. The field of nursing has granted me the courage to push myself on hard days and take risks because life is just too short to not bank on yourself.
My advice will always be to stop caring what people think. Believe in your potential to be whatever it is you love. Develop a plan to get where you want and take life one day at a time. I can’t emphasize how much time I spent worrying about my future, and I still struggle with it. Day by day though, I take that mantra to remind myself that I got here by laying foundations brick by brick.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Wanderlens is always looking for new clients and individuals to collaborate with. I would love to be more involved with small and large brands/companies as well as artists. I recently had the opportunity to film the new Hamilton Collections Gallery at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia and it was absolutely electric to be apart of. I love this industry for the variety it has brought me and anyone who is interested with collaborating, you can reach me via instagram DM, email. or the inquiry form on the website below. It has been such a cool experience meeting so many walks of life and businesses’ that I never knew existed.
