Meet Anthony Frazer

We were lucky to catch up with Anthony Frazer recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, appreciate you sitting with us today. Maybe we can start with a topic that we care deeply about because it’s something we’ve found really sets folks apart and can make all the difference in whether someone reaches their goals. Self discipline seems to have an outsized impact on how someone’s life plays out and so we’d love to hear about how you developed yours?
My self-discipline comes from the years of self drive and determination. For years, since I was 5 years old I have always wanted to be an artist. I wanted what my idols had Michael Jackson and Britney Spears. I wanted to make music and tour the world. I wanted to be the artist that inspired me to want more. That’s a pipe dream when you come from a single parent home, When live in a big city like Philadelphia. You get bullied, you feel left out, you self isolate and you turn your depression and anxiety on its head and turn it into the fuel you need to drive your passion and dreams. That’s where my self-discipline comes from.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
For those of you who don’t know me my name is Anthony Frazer. I’m a singer, songwriter, producer, actor, and CEO of my company, Fancy AF Productions, and Anthony Frazer Music. I fell in love with music at the age of two learning how to sing and dance from Michael Jackson. Shortly after I took lessons for dance and tap, jazz and hip-hop, as well as vocal lessons at the age of six. I think what truly sets me apart as an artist is, it’s not about just singing for me. It’s about a performance and a production. It’s about making that connection. It’s about hoping people become more connected to not only me but my music. My drive and determination is some thing I’ve learned from the icons and legends before me. I just want people to see my hard work and determination and I know that I love and appreciate them so much.

The most exciting part about being an artist / performer for me is the ability to grow. To see where I started, what I learned, seeing my growth. It continues to burn that fire in me. As an independent artist you struggle. Financially it’s rough you spend so much money to put out a product and brand of your self and talent to the world and you don’t see the money come back for a while. It takes time and that in itself can really crush a dream. For me, I had to find happiness in many area of this process along the way.

One moment I am most proud of is performing at the Free Britney Rally for Britney Spears in November 2021. Where Britney was released from her conservatorship. It was a full circle moment for me, being a fan since I was seven years old, seeing how much she’s helped me through my life, and now I got to return the favor for her in a very small way meant so much more than just a performance.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three qualities that are most impactful in my journey have been Development, Drive and Determination. With development you have to be willing to learn all the skills. Wether that is being the singer, producer, songwriter, be able to build a website, create products for your brand like clothes, logos, flyers, promotional items, a videographer, a choreographer. The list goes on. The drive has to be strong. It has to be you faith, your backbone, because everyday you will feel the pressure to give up. This leads to your determination. You have to want this more than anything in the world. For me. This is all I want. Everything I do is to fuel my dreams.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
The number one challenge I face is finances. It’s takes money to do anything in this industry. Right now I work multiple jobs, I’m in school in my masters degree. I’m constantly putting out new material. Anything I can do to cycle the money and make more content for my brand. Also learning how to use social media to make more money.
