Meet Arieas Woodard

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Arieas Woodard. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Arieas below.

Hi Arieas, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
Lately the focus is my inner core. I like to develop little key phrases; “No Cheat Codes” is something that i tell myself throughout the day. It helps me keep things in the proper perspective while also reinforcing that there’s no such thing as short cuts or hacks. It keeps me present, it keeps me in the “being” stage of the bigger goal that’s down the line.

It sort of keeps the pressure away and help me focus on the now.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a designer/director, model, athlete, researcher. You can catch me up late on Saturday night storyboarding for a new project, then catch me cycling a 100mi ride Sunday morning.

Art, design, and athletics; collaborating on achieving visions/ideals for other creatives and brands is the most enjoyable thing.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Gratitude, Fortitude, and Solitude.

You don’t go into nature to find peace. You bring peace with you as soon as you step in the forest.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Not letting big goals paralyze me. I use to set a goal, but think about the end goal so often that I neglect the present. Eventually not achieving the goal at all.

That led me to build tiny little systems for that. Always compounding my progress. No cheat codes. .
