Ashlie Nicole, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
When it comes to confidence and self esteem I can honestly say that’s something I am still a work in progress. Looking at me I have always presented myself as “THE GIRL” radiating self assurance, who was capable of navigating life’s challenges with unwavering confidence. NOT SO! Behind the mask that I wore through childhood, adolescence and early adulthood it was all really a front. Deep down inside I was hoping for validation and support from my peers, family and friends. Through my work (business) and my spiritual walk with God I would develop my confidence and self esteem. I realized that God had already validated me in Psalms 139:14. He had handcrafted me and there was something fearful and unique about me. The more I journey through life day to day and explore “ME”, I realize that I’ve never really needed anyone to help boost my confidence or self esteem. The journey wasn’t an easy one and still today it isn’t easy but as I continue my spiritual walk and stand on Gods word concerning who I am, I become more confident in my own skin.

Introduction: Ashlie Nicole Pitts known as Ashlie Nicole is a remarkable individual who has emerged as both a prominent fashion stylist, Boutique owner, visionary and an inspiring survivor of domestic violence. Her journey is a testament to her strength, courage, and determination to turn her life around and make a difference in the world.
Survivor Story:
Ashlie Nicole Pitts, a survivor of rape and domestic violence, faced unimaginable challenges and adversity in her life. She overcame a traumatic past with unwavering determination and an unbreakable spirit. Her story serves as an inspiration to countless individuals who find themselves trapped in similar situations. Ashlie’s resilience, combined with her desire to empower others, has become a driving force in her life.
Fashion Stylist:
Ashlie’s love for fashion and style has been a lifelong passion. She’s the owner of Ashlie Nicole Apparel, an online women’s clothing boutique. Her motto is, “Be FIERCE. Be UNIQUE. Be YOU. UNAPOLOGETICALLY.” Despite the obstacles she faced, she pursued her dream of becoming a boutique owner and fashion stylist with fervor. Her unique sense of style and an innate ability to bring out the best in people through fashion choices set her apart in the industry. Ashlie is the visionary of two remarkable events Brunch With Bosses and DV Awareness SIP, PAINT & RELEASE.
Brunch With Bosses is centered around the transformative power of networking and mentorship. By creating a platform for future entrepreneurs to connect, gain knowledge, and be inspired by local success stories, the initiative aims to empower individuals not only to achieve financial success (“secure the bag”) but also to understand and appreciate the journey (“the process”) involved in sustaining that success.
Ashlie Nicole’s initiative, “SIP, PAINT & RELEASE,” reflects a powerful commitment to raising awareness about domestic violence. By sharing her personal journey as a survivor, she not only empowers others who have experienced similar challenges but also provides a platform for survivors to share their stories. There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Self-awareness, self-compassion, and a positive mindset were most impactful on my journey. For the people early in your journey, being aware of your strengths and weaknesses, practicing self-compassion in times of struggle, and maintaining a positive outlook contribute to building, developing and sustaining confidence and self-esteem.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The most important book to me is definitely the Bible. Standing on Gods word is the only way to get through your journey. Knowing that with God all things are possible but without God nothing is possible. Seek God first in all things, pray, write the vision, make it plain and have faith the size of a mustard seed. Where God gives vision, He also gives provision but also remember that faith without works is dead. You have to put in the work!
