Meet Ausha Anderson

We recently connected with Ausha Anderson and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ausha , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I have always tried to build my confidence within-instead of focusing on the outside. You can always find something you don’t love about yourself even if your happy with one thing our another. Especially with meeting new people or building my business I’ve always made it a point to work on feeling good about who I am, how I treat people, how I do things and how I make people feel. Feeling confident with that has always made me forget on focusing on looks for confidence & self esteem and more with be proud of who I am.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I specialize in permanent cosmetics. Ombré Brows, Nano Brows & Lip Blush. I’m also an esthetician so I do services like brow lamination & lash lifts as well.

I have been in the industry for 6 years. I opened up my own shop about 4 years ago feeling like the industry was missing a shop that I would dream of working in so I decided to change that and make that happen. Now years later I’m on my second shop that I renovated & I have 13 amazing artists at with a huge range of services wanted to have a shop where artists and clients felt like they were at home. So I made just that
🙂 i wanted to create support & community while artists still felt independent and in control of their own business.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Community over competition

This is so important. Someone is always going to be better than you in so many ways and that’s okay. So why not learn from those people? Why not have people that do the same thing as you help inspire & push you? Don’t ever think others are competition use them as positive fuel for your fire.

2. Never think failing means you’re done

Sometimes you have to make mistakes to learn from them and become better. Keep pushing and never quit.

3. Never taking things personal

You wear so many hats as a business owner. Learn that most things aren’t personal. Most of the time it’s not YOU it’s them.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
One of the most important roles in my career that has helped me is the support I have had. My family, friends, other artists, community on social media etc. I couldn’t have don’t it with this. Support & love is the one thing you can’t replace and it makes a world of difference.
