We recently connected with Autumn Pippenburg and have shared our conversation below.
Autumn, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I am of the belief that everyone’s purpose originates from their genuine strengths and innate joys. Personally, my purpose aligns with the profound happiness I derive from witnessing the joy and fulfillment of others. I find immense pleasure in the art of giving, appreciating not only the creative process but also the profound impact it has on others and on my own life in return. At some point, we’ve all experienced a longing for more—be it meeting our fundamental needs or enriching our lives through activities that enable us to flourish. I listened to my heart and found my purpose; being me.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m extremely focused on my nonprofit, Art of Giving Foundation. In the current year, our primary focus revolves around our three core initiatives: the CPS Supply Drive, Mural Installations, and Art Therapy Programs. We are growing at a rapid pace and keeping up with all of the new projects and partnerships keeps me extremely busy. Its an honor to serve my community on such a profound level and to have the support from my peers as we expand.
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of Art of Giving Supplies, our new school supply product line, set to debut in the third quarter of 2024. Our primary aim is to provide exceptionally affordable school supplies, ensuring that teachers and parents can easily access the resources necessary for their students and classrooms throughout the entire year.
We are hosting several events throughout the year to help us fundraise for our various projects. You can find all of the event information on our website.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Recognizing, comprehending, and embracing the fact that not everyone will support you, for various reasons, holds significant power. Reflecting on the beginnings of my nonprofit, I was overly preoccupied with the need for universal approval. Today, I embrace a different perspective. Anticipating occasional dissent, I value the ability to release those concerns and persist along my own path, an essential element for sustaining oneself as a business owner.
Lead with integrity. When every decision is driven by good intentions and honesty, you won’t find yourself needing to cover your tracks or justify your actions. Upholding what is right, particularly when accountability is absent, is pivotal for building confidence and self-worth. Such authentic energy is not only attractive but also contagious.
Embrace the “I’ll figure it out” mindset. When everyone turns to you for solutions, abandoning the challenge is never the choice. Every problem has a solution; you just need the determination and passion to pursue it.
Self-improvement is a journey of continuous practice—unlearning bad habits and adopting good ones. Be gentle with yourself, acknowledging that you are in a perpetual state of learning. Accept that you may not always be right, and recognize that personal development takes a lifetime; greatness is not achieved overnight.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
The Art of Giving Foundation is actively seeking to build new connections and forge partnerships that can significantly contribute to our mission.
