We recently connected with Belbrevia Dimakasto Makinta and have shared our conversation below.
Belbrevia Dimakasto, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Whenever I do something like give my most loved clothing items to someone in need, buy them food, help them pass an exam, or talk to them about the difficulties they face in their lives, it helps me see and find my purpose. Seeing someone smile because I have done something for them touches my heart and makes me feel good, and I only feel that way when I am giving; that is how I discovered that my purpose in life is to give.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a corporate hun, working full-time from home as a cyber security analyst. I have been with this IT company for about 5 years and am eager to do more in the same industry over the next five.
Cybertech is unique, especially in our feminine club, because people are accustomed to seeing women as nurses, teachers, and administrative assistants, but we have much more to offer, just like men. And seeing women be more focused and productive at work is inspiring.
Away from work, I cook and bake, and I share the majority of my recipes on social media platforms, as well as sell these meals and cookies online.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Being resilient, eager to learn, and a go-getter.
Do not underestimate yourself. I believe that if I had enjoyed my sleep at the time, I would not be where I am now. Study hard, seek information and knowledge from all of your networks, and accept that you will fail many times but never give up.
Even though people had told me several times in the past that I would not make it in the course that I was studying, I persisted, and most of the time I was doing it to prove them wrong and to test my abilities, and now I am proud to say that it is true when they say the sky is the limit. Software engineering was difficult for most of us, and only 5% of us, including myself, graduated.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am looking for collaborations with Plus size clothing brands and anyone who wants to help me grow my food content, as well as sponsor some ingredients so I can advertise them on my social media channels.
