Meet Belle Grubb

We were lucky to catch up with Belle Grubb recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Belle, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I used to view failure as the worst thing that could happen to a person, but as I have grown my own brand and podcast, I have learned that failure is one of the best things that can happen. If I had never failed at the first podcast that I started during my freshman year of college, I would have become burnt out and constantly created content that was not desired by my audience.

When I created that initial podcast, I was in the midst of moving across the country and starting my undergrad degree. I would write pages of script for each episode and then did not know how to edit or market the episode after it was recorded. After a few months of exhaustion and inconsistency, I decided to end that podcast and spend some time learning what I should be doing better. I took a few marketing classes and researched microphones and free editing systems. I also started listening to successful podcasts every day, something that I had not done before. Once I finished my Master’s degree, I had a knowledge base as well as a “failed” experience to create the foundation of my current, successful podcast, Inspired Lady.

Ultimately, I belive that resilience comes from overcoming the fear of failure and continuing to chase your dreams. One of my favorite famous quotes is that perseverance is not knocking on the same door 100 times, but knocking on 100 different doors. This is where true resilience lives!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My name is Belle Grubb and I currently reside in Fort Worth, Texas. I have lived a very fun and fast lifestyle; at the age of 21, I have my Master’s degree, traveled to over 20 countries, just finished building my dream home, have been married for 2 years, have no debt, and host the successful podcast Inspired Lady. God has blessed me with such a beautiful life and the passion to inspire those around me to live the life that they have been called to. So many times, people have asked how I stay motivated and keep moving forward. This is ultimately what started my passion for Inspired Lady and sharing how to balance hardwood with reliance on Jesus. There is such a limited time we have in life and I want to fill my days with amazing relationships, exciting experiences, and creating the best life that I can that ultimately honors God. Inspired Lady exists to equip women who have similar ambitions with the tools they need to take care of their bodies, grow their minds, and strengthen their relationships with God and others!

This upcoming fall (2024), my first book, Abundant Living, will be published and serve as a guide on how to live our best lives!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. I fully believe that every single person should work on their communication skills in their everyday conversations. My biggest piece of advice that I continue to fall back on is this: stay more interested in the other person than they are in you. This means asking questions, following up, and being intentional in every conversation so that each person feels heard and valued when they are talking to you. When this happens, your relationships will deepen and you will continue to be amazed at how this will enrich every aspect of your life.

2. Creating a strong morning routine has also been crucial to my success. Every day we are able to accomplish small. attainable tasks before the deep work of our day starts, we will be setting ourselves up for continued success throughout the day. This can be accomplished through a consistent wake-up time and 3 non-negotiables, which can then be built upon as you go.

3. I belive that having a hunger to learn and constantly refine skills is vital to creating your dream life. I am in the constant state of curating and refining every aspect of my life in order to affirm that my time is being spent wisely and everything is as effective as possible. I do this through weekly meetings with myself where I update my goals and tasks for the upcoming days.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am constantly looking for partners and friends who are living their best lives and would love to share their experiences and tips with thousands of people. If anyone is interested in joining the podcast (or want an exclusive preorder option for the book Abundant Living, which will be released next fall) you can email me at [email protected]
