Bethany, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from well…life. When you are following a path that isn’t clearly defined and not everyone can see or have a vision for, you are going to meet a lot of obstacles. I’ve certainly gotten knocked down more times than I care to count. Yet in all of those failures and setbacks there have been immense lessons, they are experiences from which I have come back infinitely stronger and wiser. Situations I once considered a great loss, I now see as immense gain as they were jobs, people, or experiences that were never meant for me. Now I am able to let things go with much more grace, knowing if they leave my life they weren’t meant for me, and what is meant for me, will never pass me by.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I guide people in transforming their lives through relationships. Relationships are one of our biggest portals of growth. They are mirrors of our own inner transformation opportunities and guides in bigger life lessons. I utilize astrology, tarot, and other tools of the trade, to give clients the information to transform their lives and loves. I help them recognize how to work with their inherent energies and strengths to overcome challenges in their lives, find their true sense of purpose and to learn how to find and create aligned relationships.
Astrology is an exciting field and one that is really coming to the forefront of our lives and loves. It utilizes deeper aspects of psychology, philosophy, and spirituality to give individuals the tools to enhance their lives. Being able to share the gift of astrology through writing and working with individuals is a rewarding experience.
I am currently offering individual readings in Written in The Stars single sessions as well as longer-term options and adding an Astrocartography component that allows clients to find the areas of the globe most conducive to their goals of financial success, love, excitement, transformation, etc.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Align With Your Passions- Your passions are your purpose. It truly is that simple. The way to monetize or make a living off those passions is where you might have to get creative but as long as whatever you’re doing is truly aligned with your passion, you will find the way. If you are having trouble figuring out what those are, you can look back to your favorite childhood pursuits, find what gives you that spark when you are feeling low, or think about if you could only do 3 things in a day, what would they be? These are some ways you can begin to get pointed toward your passion.
Get Clear on Your Messaging- Once you’ve found your passion, find the message behind it. What is it you are offering, what is it that you want to say? Often we get so worried about getting in front of the spotlight to share our message, we often forget to get clear on what it really is. We want to make sure we are drawing the right people to us and that when we get our time in the sun, we are ready to shine.
Hone Your Craft- Knowledge isn’t everything but it sure can help. The more you know about a topic the more you carve out your area of expertise. Even if you don’t agree with everything that’s out there, it’s important to know as much as you can so you can form your own opinions. You want to take the knowledge and info that’s out there and add to it. Take it a step further. Define your own area, opinions, viewpoints, additions, and style. It goes along with the concept of messaging, what makes you stand out? What makes your area of expertise so unique?
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
Edith Eiger’s book The Choice has been one of the most pivotal books of my life. She discusses the concept of choice in our lives, and how it is ever-present, even in the darkest of circumstances. We often feel so out of control of our lives but Eiger helps remind us, that we do have power, no matter the obstacle or situation.
It is a deeply powerful and transformative book and helps us all remember that no matter what we are facing, our free will is always with us.
