Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bishop Kevin Foreman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Bishop Kevin, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I have learned that in order to bounce high, you are going to have to deal with the lows. It’s like a basketball, you push down in order for it to bounce up. The harder to push it down the higher it bounces up and the harder it bounces back. That is resilience. Let the low moments take you to your hight moments.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Born in Denver, Colorado, and reared in Orange Mound, an area of Memphis, Tennessee, riddled with the plight that often accompanies the inner-city, From humble beginnings, through God’s amazing grace, he has defied statistics and transcended superficial boundaries. Today, he is an influential pastor, successful church planter, bishop, success coach, in-demand speaker, author, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. Bishop Foreman is the founder and chancellor of Harvest Bible College. Pioneering #FitHarvest to promote healthy living in the Harvest movement, Bishop Foreman celebrated successfully shedding over 95 pounds through simple, yet powerful lifestyle changes. This is a testament to God’s desire for us to walk in His “shalom”, where nothing is missing, nothing is lacking, nothing is broken, and all is well.

Even greats like Michael Jordan have coaches to help them reach the zenith of their potential. In addition to his commitment to changing lives for God’s glory, despite a full schedule, Bishop still makes himself available for one-on-one mentorship in life, spirituality, pre-marital, relationships & church/executive leadership through Coaching Sessions. These are offered at no cost, but a minimum offering is received which is used to support Harvest Foundation. So while you are being coached, your offering is changing lives.
Since our inception, our Bishop’s vision has been to be one church in global locations and by God’s divine instruction, we’re excited to announce our intention to expand into the Atlanta metropolitan area. We’re currently in the planning phase of building our launch team in the Atlanta area with awesome people just like you!
God built our first location into a thriving, multi-cultural, multi-generational church from scratch in Denver, a region with little racial diversity that ranked 46 out of 50 for the lowest church attendance in America. Harvest is no stranger to building from scratch because of the great and awesome people of Harvest, affectionately known as Harvesters. Believe it or not, although Atlanta is in the “Bible Belt,” over 60% of the metro area is known as “unchurched” or “dechurched”, having either never been faithful in church attendance or being faithful but for some reason disconnected from church. The Harvest is plentiful in Atlanta.
Atlanta is a melting pot that’s become a hub for everything from media to fashion and entertainment. Atlanta is full of amazing people, and outside of Denver, where our first location is, it’s become our top online streaming area for people watching our experiences and messages. Just like in Denver, it takes great people who want to see God do something amazing through them, just like YOU.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Focus. I learned to only focus on what matters. Focus isn’t just what you say “yes” to, but also what you say “no” to. It’s not just what you look at, but also about what you choose to ignore and everything doesn’t deserve your attention.
2. Resilience. i’ve learned that in order to bounce high you are going to have to deal with the lows. It’s like a basketball. You push it down in order for it to bounce up. The harder you push it down the higher it bounces up and bounces back. Let the low moments take you to your high moments.
3. Consistency. Consistency is my brand. I’ve learned to build a schedule and a life that allows me to be consistent so that the people that are connected to me expect consistency, not perfection but consistency. Consistency is constantly showing up. Consistency is doing what others do occasionally, all the time.
Just do it. Have a bias toward action instead of conversation. Have a bias toward doing something instead of planning to do something.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
Feeling overwhelmed is simply a lack of being organized. Anytime I feel overwhelmed I recognize there’s something I need to bring order and structure to. So whenever you feel overwhelmed, step back from it Step back from the challenge. Step back from the issue and look at it so you can determine where you need to bring order or where you need to bring organization or where you need to bring structure. Feeling overwhelmed isn’t always a fact. Sometimes it just seems like it’s a lot, and it’s not. Doing those things will help you remove that feeling.
